It may have decided to give up its coverage of the sport at the end of the season, but British television broadcaster ITV continues to pick up accolades for its Formula One programming - and the team behind the success hopes to continue next season.
Please dont let James Allen join the BBC, he is the worst commentator on TV . he has managed to ruin the ITV commentary with his awful shouting .

I hope the bbc just concentrates on the actual races rather than lame grid walks and 'spot the celebrity' type nonsense. And for the love of God - NO JAMES ALLEN!! The guy's voice makes my teeth itch!

The BAFTAs are a joke. What made ITVs coverage of the canadian grand prix any better than any other race? Nothing, except a british driver won it. They gave them the award when Button won the Hungarian GP as well. It wasnt an award for broadcasting ability, it was an award given because an English driver won the race.

ok here's my view NO Ted Kravitz NO James Allen NO Martin Brundle and his poxy abreviaitons like "P1" its 1ST POSITION YOU IDIOT!! plus no Martin Brundle doing a Grid Walk waving his mic in peoples faces when they are obviously trying to focus. and Please God Please no more "Ferrari are the best ever and allways will be" Attitude.
Frankly, I don't care if they retain the ITV team, under the condition that if they spend more than 5 minutes a race talking about Lewis, they'll be publicly flogged. Wan-kers. Watching the ITV broadcast is like listening to the Hamilton PR brigade. I DONT care about Anthony Hamilton, in fact I'm sick of his face. At least 5 times a race, they'll cut to a shot of this guy in the pits. WTF??
The broadcasters need to show the best racing on the track, and the commentators need to report it in an unbiased and entertaining manner.

Agree with most of the comments posted so far and Ghost, you had me laughing out loud. Brilliant! Must say though, that I quite like the input from Brundle and I don't mind the grid walks, although his interviews should be with drivers on a pre-arranged basis and only celebs with more than one brain cell and a real interest in F1 can be allowed to speak. I'll never forget the one with fat boxer boy Johnny two jags tosser Prescott!.... "I'll be rooting for Damian". What a nob!
Ben Edwards, Hill & Brundle.......great combo that. My wildcard would be our Johnny Herbert. Oh yessssss.
Demon, I'm with you on the Brundle front. I think that guy's good, and I enjoy his gridwalks. I still remember one of his retorts when Bernie was briefing the media last year about the proposed night GP in Singapore.
Brundle goes - "So, what, I'm gonna be going round with a torch, am I, looking for you?"
I've generally no problem at all with the North 1 team, and if the whole thing transferred to the BBC with no adverts and some 'red button' whizz-bangery I'd be a happy chap.
Martin Brundle adds real value, but I find the grid walks cringeworthy and thats usually the point when I fetch the beer from the fridge. Louise Goodman has a real rapport with the drivers and has real diplomatic skills to be able to get a sensible response from drivers who've just binned it. If someone could fix James Allens colour blindness so he can tell which car he's looking at, that would help.

Robsy, we need somebody to fixe James Allen FULL STOP. Everything about him is wrong.
One thing i remember him saying in 2006 was how he loved Alonso, his style, his attitude and all that but then in 2007, he speaks of Alonso like trash now that his new flavour of the month is racing.
Hes always been "the best mate" and "great friends" with whoever is leading the title. It infuriates me!
(If anybody has seen Death Race 2000, then they will know what i mean - he is exactly like the woman that commentates on the race!)
