'Fresh' Hamilton up for the fight.

Lewis Hamilton says he feels relaxed, refreshed and raring to take the fight to Ferrari as the Formula 1 circus arrives back on European soil for round four of the 2008 campaign in Barcelona this weekend.

Good to see that you were lying in wait ready to pounce with yet another chance to slag off Hamilton!

I do hope after the last race that Lewis had the decency to walk up to Fernando and admit it was his fault and say sorry.
On another note Lewis is in too much of a rush to win the title, he has years of racing in him, and yet the title may come his way one day if he plays it cool and does not do anything silly or rash.
His time as a world champ may come to him one day, but i think he has to mature alot more first and learn to handle the pressure like all previous world champions had to!

In fairness, the McLaren isn't the best car out there, so he shouldn't necessarily be the driver to beat. Australia flattered to decieve, largely because Ferrari messed up, but they've always been the strongest this year generally. Now BMW are getting in on the act and its creating close competition. It doesn't mean LH is driving any worse and at the end of the day he has had a bad race (I don't count Malaysia because he drove well in the race and was restricted by a matter out of his control). I'm just glad this year's title race is so open!

I insisted Mclaren won't win in Barcelona and so far it seems like it is the case! 11th after the 2nd free practice for Shamilton looks like the team is struggling to match the Ferrari for pace and with Ferrari on a fresh engine this week I think it will be another Ferrari 1-2 with Raikkonen having the edge! This is a damage limitation exercise for Shamilton rather than taking the fight to Ferrari this weekend and if anyone who don't agree with this assesment are dillusional.

Wow, you really read a lot into testing! I'm sure Hamilton will be 11th on the grid, with Kovalainen 16th and both Force India's in the top 10 by the end of qualifying..... Testing is very different to actual pace!

I never said Shamilton was going to be out side of the top 10 but you can bet even if he starts on pole the Ferrari's will have too much race pace for Shamilton to handle, and Kovalainen 16th was sue to a technical hitch and he onlt completed 8 laps to Shamilton's 33 laps.

Mclaren would do well to get on the podium this weekend, Renault should be back in the points at least with Alonso.

Mr Kipling

Though you are right, you're also wasting your time. Tealeaf craves such responses, presumably as some sort of self affirmation. Whatever, the best advice is always: don't feed the trolls.

I'll take your advice Jack... it just winds me up.

He clearly thinks Shamilton is some kind of satirical, comedic master stroke, when in actual fact it's about as funny as a massive heart attack. And they're the opposite of funny.

I can put up with idiots, just not idiots who think they're clever.

Not a big fan of the nicknames but I always thought Hamilchoke was more creative and on point.

"I judge myself on my standards of last year, so I don't see why anyone else can't". I am not sure what he is getting at here. Seems like everyone has judged him on how he lost an all but clinched title with three races to go. I would have liked for him to comment on the his frustration at being stuck behind a Force India for so long.

Lewis quotes: "I mainly felt sorry for the team because we had the car to do a better job and didn't do it".
Great. Coming from the great pretender that's really rich.
Other drivers are getting points and driving their guts out in a midfield car, and Lewis has the car to do better and flops it.

"I just want to win more than ever. I judge myself on my standards of last year, so I don't see why anyone else can't..."; "Lasty year people did not expect much from me, this year they do".
Is this guy coming or going? He talks far too much and is contradicting himself.
He wants to win; is judging himself on last year's results; peoples' expectations of him are putting him under pressure...

..... this does not bother him in the slightest, then he flops a race in a good performing car, but still wants to win more than ever.

He's judging himself by last years results, but this is a new season and another kettle of fish altogether.

He's not sorry for himself, only for the team, but they and his family were very supportive!!!!!!
What did he do exactlt after the race? Cry on Ron Dennis's shoulders, or boohooed on his father's.

The chap is contradicted himself and he'll do much better if he concentrates on racing rather than to hypnotise himself with winning dreams.

Hamilton really needs to get off his soap box. I dont think any other driver talks as much to the media as this guy does. He needs to take a step back and get on with the job at hand.
I'm not saying he should shun the press, but he needs to tone it down a little. All the other guys - Kimi, Kovy, Kubica, and Heidfeld - their interactions with the press are short and sweet. This guy feels the need to ramble on and on and get as much face time as possible.

I know its early in the season, but it's not looking good for him so far. Macca is fighting a battle on two fronts - against the Ferraris in front of them, and the Beemers behind them. They need complete focus from their drivers.
