Don't worry Lewis: you and McLaren have too much potential to stay off the top step for very long!

It's a shame that 80% of how well you do in F1 is down to the car. If the cars were all on the same level, Lewis would be in a league of his own. He is the best driver in F1 by far!!

he is just lucky last year because of his teammate... as you can see now how renault improves in just a short period of time.... soon they will come back in front....

Lee, he is not the best driver. He is hardly better than Heikki, and he was only as fast as Fernando who was clearly in a much slower car than Lewis was in last year. If all cars were on the same level, drivers such as Trulli, Webber and Alonso, Raikkonen would be in their own league, Hamilton would be at the nearer to the back of the pack.

Lee, you're either a 10 year old kid or just another dillusional ***** fan. Shamilton is nowhere near the best in F1, Alonso got screwed over last year, otherwise the title would of gone to Alonso, Kimi is clearly the fastest in F1 at the moment and Shamilton would be lucky to be in the top 6 drivers in F1 at the moment, but Lee I agree with you on that cars are the single most important factor in winning and being successful hence why Shamilton did so well last year, it's not his talent, do you think he would of even won a race in a Honda or Red Bull last year? you are an idiot that contradict yourself just like Shamilton does.
lewis speak so much for himself... well i really try to understand why this little boy.... speak so much that way.. well that's little boy do..... like my little kids...

Ok then, well at least Alonso is getting plenty of wins in his Renault! Lewis was a rookie last year and nearly won the title, no matter what car your in for a rookie to do that is something special. He was in an equal car to his team mate and at the start Alonso was favoured! Your an idiot, I love the jeolousy that people have with Hamilton.

I don't think Lewis is 'in a league of his own', he still has ALOT of learning to do, but the guy deserves alot more respect than the **** he gets on these forums.
In my opinion Alonso, Raikkonen & Hamilton are the top drivers at this moment and any team in F1 would be happy to have any of them.
F1 is lucky to have a great deal of tealent atm with the likes of Kovalainen, Kubica, Rosberg, etc. all capable of stepping up to be in this group at the top.

by the end of the year he ll miss beating alonso !!! boy u f d up!
I think he's definitely one of the top drivers in F1 in terms of speed, but he's waaay behind when it comes to experience. Experience cannot be underestimated in F1 today. I think part of McLaren's problem is that they have two relatively young and inexperienced drivers. Frankly they're lucky to have Pedro, otherwise they'd probably be further behind. How can you develop and set up a car proper if you have little or nothing to compare to?
This, I imagine, is also a problem for Williams. Nico has had time to learn from a real seasoned pro in Wurz, but he's still a kid, as is Nakajima. And without an experienced tester they may fall behind during the course of the year.

It's Groundhog Day!!!Unless I am much mistaken, this same debate has happened at least weekly for 6 months. What is wrong with you people that you keep wanting to post the same comments over and over again?

Good question, but Hamilton is less impressive than Villeneuve was at this time of his career. You must be obsessed lee, posting so many times just to protect your hero. And that racism stuff is just crap. I mean seriously, there was nothing racial about the comment. You are obviously 10 years old at the highest lee.

I'd also say that valsocool posted so many times to s l * g off our "hero" He may be slightly...spanish. either that or he failed english. It's obvious hamilton has the talent but lacks the experience (along with Heikki) to keep a car running at the front. All the same conspiracy theories about McLaren not helping Alonso, blah blah, bored. grow up and just watch the racing you malicious cnuts

Nice boy, shame he can't set his car up.
I see HK out qualified wonder boy today, guess he used to work for Renault as well.

Maybe LH is about to become the next Coulthard? :P
(That was a joke - I think he's way better than DC's ever been already.)

Re: Better than Coulthard, i think Lewis only has to get another 9 wins to pass DC, and 8 to pass DC's total wins driving a Mclaren. No sweat!
The boys got the talent, and the team know what they are doing. Its just a case of putting it all together, which is something i cant see happening this year.
Last year, they should have won the title, but Kimi put in an extraordinary last 6 or 7 rounds, and deservedly took the title.
As for missing winning, we all do. Dont worry Lewis, you have won more recently that Alonso, Button, Coulthard, Barichello... they must really miss winning!

Also, Greasemonkey, you didnt mention that whilst Lewis was outqualified by his team mate, Lewis actually outqualified the reigning world champion and current championship leader.
Point out all the facts and your dig at Lewis doesnt seem half as impressive does it?
As i expect to be called "either a 10 year old kid or just another dillusional ***** fan" then i had better back up my argument. Its 3-2 to Lewis in qualifying against Heikki for anybody interested.
