I enjoyed it, it was extremely eventful. They didn't finish in the order that they qualified. You must be a ferrari fan. I'd be bored too. One of the best races there in a while. The rain always make F1 fun. Now they do it without TC. Fricken awesome. That's correct. Lewis can win from other starting positions.

Yamaha, have you ever written a comment that wasn't designed to provoke a response??

Don't stop though - it's quite amusing!

Just a thought, can Lewis do this well if he was driving a Renault or say one the Honda.

i did not write to get a response i was telling the truth as i watched the NW200 on bbc2 before the gp which is bikes racing on public roads just like the gp and there was more overtaking by the first corner than there was in the whole of the entire F1 race.

in my house we have nicknamed F1 we call it "formula boring" if you want real racing with real racers and not a load of over egoed drama queens try watching bike racing!!

Bike racing is fantastic, I have a 996 (my 9th bike) and love WSBK & MotoGP but to say the Monaco GP was boring is nonsense.

Monaco is always a spectacle even if the racing is a bit of a procession but the rain and difficult conditions made it a great race even if my Ferrari's didn't do so well :-(

Yamaha, I think you need to take those bike biased glasses off mate.

yamaha, if you dislike F1 so much and consider bike racing to be a sport of gods (as almost all of your posts seem to suggest) then may I suggest that you stop commenting on the F1 stories and just stick to the Moto GP and other bike related stories.

We all get it, bike racing has more overtaking (mainly because they are smaller and can fit properly side by side at street tracks) and it is obviously such a superior soprt, but I am bored of your insistence to tell us that.

Please for the love of which ever god you hold dear write something constructive for once.

As for the GP, i was a little disappointed. The rain did mix it up a little, but other wet races (such as Monaco 96 or 97 or Nurburgring 1999 (i think)) were still much more exciting.

yamaha, you seem to be missing the point. We do not care if you think we are watching the "wrong" type of motorsport, i agree with you that F1 isn't what it used to be, but it is what we have now. I personally think the BTCC is nothing compaired to what it was towards the end of the 90's, and yet I dont go shouting it from the rooftops. IMO the series to watch if you want close racing is the DTM or NASCAR, but despite this i still enjoy F1.

As I have said before, if you have an opinion on the topic that is being discussed then discuss that topic but please please please (for my own sanity at the very least) stop posting "F1 is inferior crap" messages. Its really starting to drag.

backbeat....i totally agree that btcc isnt like the cleland, hoy, menu days but it still has harder closer wheel to wheel racing than F1 and that is what it is missing there is no fun in it anymore they need to get rid of refulling, electronic gizmo's back to wider slick tyres not groves and have a wsbk style one lap superpole like they used to have as the current qualifying is so dull.

i am stupid enough to still watch everyrace but it is so damn boring and should not be called a race as there is no racing it is just who has the best mechanics, fuel stratergy which is not racing and i really dont know how you can say you enjoy F1 it is rubbish and tell me a race where you can say there

Like the Caps Lock on yamaha r1's keyboard his channel changer is also broken. R1 if you can't change the channel you could alway pull the plug out of the wall and go ride your bike.

yamaha, part of the reason i am so interested in F1 is because of the technology, ok, i am biased, having a joint honors degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering (and a number of friends working throughout the F1 paddock), but the way those cars work is fantastic.

everyone would like to see more overtaking, i don't doubt that, but this season so far has been much better than ones before it. As i have said before I think that in general motorsport was in a much better shape 10 or so years ago, but we have what we have. hopefully some of the rule changes for next year will make an improvement, i'm not sure if they will but heres hoping.

....(contd)....

My initial issue was with your apparent insistence in almost every comment i've seen to relay your opinion that F1 is an inferior motorsport, and that it is boring. most people on here take the positives from this season and this sport and write constructive comments regarding topics discussed in the articles, and not just comments such as "WHY CANT YOU JUST ALL FACE IT THAT F1 IS DULL LOOK AT GP2 AND BTCC A MUCH BETTER FORM OF CAR RACING". i am sure you know what you are talking about, but as mark has also said...change the record mate.
