Max: don't think that the rest of the world can be convinced as easily as your own kangaroo court.
This is far from over, I can't wait to see the reaction from the F1 manufactureres, I wouldn't be surprised to see some staging a boycott to make it clear to the general public that they do not support Mad Max. Maybe a re-run of the famous 4 car USA GP?

With Mosley controlling the whole process and the sort of bodies which make up the FIA, this result comes as no surprise. Jackie Stewart is yet again shown not to be a fool in winning his bet on the outcome. It simply confirms that the FIA is as bad as Mosley because the FIA effectively is Mosley. A very sad day indeed for F1 though this is unlikely to be the end of this wretched and rank saga.

worst about it all is going to be the "victory" speach that he is going to give....then we'll see him go afer all those that voted against him....the MAD MAX dictatorship roles on!!!
US delegate Robert Darbelnet said he was disappointed with the outcome and may withdraw his country's membership. Following the result German motoring organisation, ADAC, was quick to voice its anger. "ADAC will stay with its decision as long as Max Mosley holds the top FIA office of president."

How can this possibly work going forwards? With the poison dwarf having recently and very publically stated that Max should go, what sort of working relationship will this create? And the majority of the teams wished Max to depart. What this shows beyond doubt is the corrupt, old-boy support network that is the FIM. Might this be the final spur that induces the manufacturers to leave F1 and establish their own breakaway series?

to add to danum's comment, the ADAC's statement reads
"This is a reason for Europe's largest automobile club to let its functions and co-operation in FIA working groups rest at world level. "ADAC will stay with its decision as long as Max Mosley holds the top FIA office of president."
I hate to say it, but if the manufactures who spoke openly about wanting MM to step down boycotted the next race (or two) then the FIA members may be forced to rethink their decision.

There were rumours before the vote that some associations would not only withdraw their membership from the FIA, but also set up a rival governing body.
Any rival body that has the support of the US, Germany & Japan also represents most of the motor manufacturers, so the knock on effect of this could change motorsport as we know it.

This is just perverse, how on earth can this be allowed?
The FIA are a farce, Mosley no longer has the respect of the motorsport community, he should walk away now!

Actually, the ones that most demanded he leave, were those organisations that, for one reason or another, weren't allowed to vote, or those organisations, who have REALLY broad shoulders (AAA, ADAC, etc.). It really doesn't surprise me. But I really want to see what happens when it comes out that Mosley's little scenario DID include Nazi links. For me, that is REALLY the important issue. Personally, I would kind of like to be 70-something and be able to dish out a few thousand pounds and keep on going for 4 hours (I said I'd like to be able to, not to do it). Fact is, Mosley did give up a carreer in politics in his father's post-war refounded far-right party. And he's always played it down.

god help anyone in the motor racing industry who did'nt back mm,i'm sure he'll find a way to punish them...and will the people who have threatened to pull out of the fia show some spine and really do it ?????
They thought Titanic was unsinkable too - the various member clubs who voted to keep him in surely must think their organisation is impervious to outside influence. Sadly I believe that this misguided view will very soon be shown to be so fatally flawed, as the organisation implodes upon itself. Mosley has won his vote and made his point: now do the right and proper thing and resign - as if that would happen!
I had really hoped that he would lose this. The FIA has really lost any remaining credibility, and given Bernie's comments (and Porsches) about the negative impact this may have on sponsorship I think F1 in particular may be in for a rough time.
**** the FIA and **** F1. This is the final straw.
Every day FIA and Bernie seem intent on destroying the sport. Crap racing and pathetic, depressing off track politics make it the joke of Motor racing.
I for one will not watch another F1 race this year.
