Stewart drops libel threat against Mosley.

Stewart drops libel threat against Mosley.

Sir Jackie Stewart has confirmed that he is no longer considering pursuing Max Mosley through the courts over the embattled FIA President's remarks last year that the Scot was a ‘certified half-wit' who dresses up ‘as a 1930s music hall man'.

A pity that Mosley is not as honourable!!!!

Stewart folds as expected and just talks some more, as described by Mosley.

As I remember, Mosley said Jackie was half witted because he called the second McLaren hearing a witch hunt before knowing what the new evidence was. In all fairness, that was rather stupid of Jackie. Dyslexia does not seem to have been involved.

It's a pity JYS did not sue because Mosley would presumably have sought to justify his remarks which would have undoubtedly led to a hilarious confrontation.

Jackie is inclined to talk more than listen and he does dress strangely for someone who does not belong to a team so Mosley would not have been short of material.

In order to win the case, JYS would have had to prove he wasnt a certified half wit.

Stewart is just a side show
He had no vote and no chance of winning a libel suit
Like Max said, a music hall man, once talented, no longer.
The real issue is the identity of those behind the illegal entrapment of the FIA President.
MI5 must know, they should tell the people.
It is a matter of national security.
If they say they do not know, then something is seriously wrong with our intelligence services.
The NOTW were just patsies although it is nice to see the gutter press for once facing the possibility of prison sentences.
It is time such rubbish was cleaned up.
Who is it still running witch hunts? Interesting.

Sir Jackie I salute you. By deciding not to sue the Gauleiter you have: 1. Shown yourself to be far above the mewling nastiness of that remnant of the 3rd Reich Supporters Club 2. Denied that fascist the "oxygen of publicity" and as I understand won £50 by betting that the sexual deviant would persuade the turd (sorry third) world including such luminaries as Iran to support him. well done indeed!

Apart from Stewart and his actions and Mosley's poor judgement to say these things about them...Guess who is the 'figure of fun' now Max...

What a load of ***** Sir Jackie says he has an 'Iron-clad' case and yet he's dropping it. Sir Jackie is a certified half-wit, has anyone used that before on Jackie? Too many bumps along the road Jackie have loosened your cerebral cortex. If its an open and shut case like you say, why not sue Mosley's ass and give the money to dyslexia?

The public love you Jackie and thats worth considering after all these years, not many have the same feelings towards Mosley(none if they were honest)

Just keep being yourself Jackie, you are the man for me if I ever win the lottery, to present me with the winning cheque!!!!!

I love how mosley's activities are somehow irrelevant and yet Jackie's opinion can be completely discredited simply due to the clothes he wears, after all, his choice of clothing is a personal matter and has no effect on what he does...
I for one have far more respect for Jackie Stewart than I ever have or will for Mosley

Jackie Stewart

Bumbling tartan old fool, a has been, a very, very weak voice in the politics of F1.

Silly old fart should be put out to grass.

MM would slaughter this twit in court.
