Danica Patrick 'will' get F1 test.

IndyCar Series' first female race-winner, Danica Patrick, to live out her F1 dream after Honda reveals a test will take place.

Well for her success I think she deserves a test. Weather she will be quick or not remains to be seen, will be interesting

She would also bring a hell of a lot of publicity to any tream that gave her a drive, which im sure they would love.

Not for nothing, but how long will it take for them to stop mentioning Buttons remarks about her boobs?

Not sure about this.....think the amount of Lingerie, Make-Up, Bicardi Breezer and Tampon advertisements might put some of the male audience off the sport...the FIA will also have to have extra policing at any event she attends as seperating Button and D.C from fighting over who is going to be first show her their motorhome might be difficult

Go on Honda give her a race seat and then we can watch you disappear to the back row.

Why would they bother?? They have much more important things to worry about than giving her a PR test.

Nice idea to see how she performs, but she has no intention of going to F1.

Please no!!
Her head is FAR to big & she's become a victim of her own publicity.
She's won just 1 race - & that more due to strategy than outright speed, & if she wasnt so marketable - because of her looks - I doubt she would still have been in Indycar long enough to get that win.

Besides, watching her throw a tantrum at this years Indy500 was just embarrassing. It was like a episode of Jerry Springer ... complete with bouncers & commentary. That kind of action with just degrade the image of F1 further.

The way she talks down on the other drivers is just arrogant too. They should use 1 of the Sports Illustrated images on-screen when they do, just to make it more bearable.

I agree with you. There is 1/x of difference between Scott Dixon and her in terms of show biz on track. But, I don't agree with those nasty remarks made by Button

Let her do the test and then she can disappear back into the Indycar wilderness. I can't think of a single driver (apart from Villeneuve) who came into F1 from Indycar racing and made a success of it so she's got NO chance!

A female with an American accent and a Lewis Hamilton attitude! Now that's gotta be a good thing for F1. If she somehow does end up with a drive you watch the USA get their race back pronto. Wich is also a good thing for F1. Also with tampon, perfume and Sex in the City advertising this would certainly get the girls more interested in F1 wich is another good thing. S H I T....I think it's all good. I wonder what Scott Speed thinks about this?

She's not a bad driver and probably its a good idea to give her a test - but she is not a front runner - winning 1 Indycar race and coming 4th in the Indy500 3 years ago is not what I would call spectacular. Give the test & possible ride to achievers like Scott Dixon, Castro-Neves or Kaanan (and not Marco Andretti)

Indy Car and Formula 1 require 2 very different skill sets. You can't really judge how good a person will be in one based on the other. We'll just have to see.

Either way, they may as well stick her in one of the teams in the back (which includes Honda now) to give a little boost to Formula 1, especially in the states. As long as the team isn't fighting for the championship and has a promising driver in the other seat it won't really hurt anything. Why not?

And why do people think that just because she is a woman she is going to bring tampon and Sex and the City advertising with her? It doesn't happen now, why would it happen in F1? Come on now.

Come to think of it, it would be funny to see her running at the back of the field with Jensen who really seems to have lost the plot recently.

LOL @ binza & alphaJ (altho I meant the other kind of 'bouncer')

Sukhoi look at what she had to say about Scheckter a few races ago, & he's achieved more than her & deserves a full time drive more than she does. Compare that to Thomas when he was taken out in the last race - instead of blaming others, he called it a racing accident & claimed he 'shouldnt have been that far back so cant complain'.

When she came on to the scene I would have given anything to sign her to a management contract ... she looked like a walking gold mine. Right now I wouldnt take her even if she flashed me her 'bouncers'.

BTW, someone shud give Jonathan Summerton a chance, he looks half decent!
