Hamilton: We can still win French GP.

Hamilton: I can still win French GP.

Lewis Hamilton has shrugged off the grid penalty he will have to take into next weekend's French Grand Prix at Magny-Cours, by vowing to fight for victory regardless before producing ‘something special' for his home fans at Silverstone a fortnight later.

What's so wrong about a Driver being confident in his abilities and adding some spark to the 'dull personality' line up?

That's why I love Lewis. He has a never say die attitude. People on here hate confidence. They call it arrogance. I guess when you are WEAK like they are you don't understand. It's easier to hate on those that have it like Lewis. I think it's awesome.

here we go again.

my opinion. Hamilton will start from 10th in france, he will race but because the track isn't brilliant for overtaking (only a few places), and his rivals in the form of ferrari and BMW are strong he will not win. he will get points, and a podium if he is lucky.

Silverstone he will go for victory he may win, and everyone will be happy, he may loose and everyone will be unhappy. who knows. Then either way he will talk about it, crash.net will cover his interview and the usual debate will be sparked on these forums. yawn.

Hamilton will have to adopt an aggressive strategy (One stop)lucky to qualify 3rd / 4th - religating him to 13th / 14th - with incidents / accidents safety car deployment of course he can win but realistically he will finish in the top five.

For the record - i'm not a big Hamilton fan...:-)

before he wins another gp he need to learn what the difference between a red and green light is and to be able to make it out the pit lane at least can he do it?

If it wasnt for Hamilton,F1 would be a total characterless championship.
Raikkonen,Kubica,Alonso and all those racers have no personality and are thoroughly boring. Thank God for Hamilton for having a character,(good or bad)
All others drivers have personalities of wet fishes and if it wasnt for Hamilton, you guys would not be on this forum> You certainly dont chat about boring Raikkonen or the others do you?????
F1 drivers should look at Motogp to learn how to have character.

pagoda there is being a character like rossi and having fun which is great to watch. And then there is being big headed always talking yourself up and saying rules that are there for your safety and the safety of others are stupid and also laking the ability to admit when you are at fault like hamilton which is annoying to watch

forza ferrari............ if Hamilton upsets you that much, then dont watch mate.
In moto gp,your right, Rossi is brilliant, but theres the stroppy Stoner and Ice man Pedrosa, Mouthy Lorenzo, Hayden... etc, all great characters.
In F1,there is only 1 character, love him or hate him, that 1 character is Hamilton.

PAGODA, you mentioned characters. well, surely kimmi fits the "ice man" personality, cool calm and collected even when someone rear ends him at the traffic lights. DC is the outspoken old guy, Webber again is not afraid to wage his opinion, JB can come out with some reasonably amusing remarks. There are tonnes of different personalities throughout the grid, just because none of them are the same as those of the motogp guys doesn't decrease their value.

it also doesn't help that, in your opinion, the only guy with any personality, has the british media crawling all over him constantly. No wonder other drivers personalities don't show, they just don't get all the interviews he does! ......

.... i'm not a LH hater, but I do think he should concentrate more on the job of driving, and less on the media. let his driving and results do the talking.

Now i am angry because I didn't want to get involved in another one of these debates. damit.

I wish him the best of luck at magny cours, but as i have previously written, I don't think a win is on the cards.
