Ron Dennis has underlined that he will support whatever is in Formula 1's best interests as the sport's future continues to be called into question, with suggestions that plans for a breakaway series are taking shape refusing to go away.
Just upload all the stuff I gave you on the internet torrent site that should do it...

Is this the same Ron as the one who was caught with all the Ferrari data? Surely not because he could easily have leveled the paying field in 2007 by sending all the McLaren data to Ferrari.
Ron should join Nigel Stepney and Mike Coughlan and become another ex-F1 person.

We all got our own opinions here. But something has to be done to make the sport more fair for everyone who takes part and affordable aswell. Super Aguri may now still be here if it was a affordable. Plus make the sport as entertaining as GP2.
Observer, you seem to of forgot how that all started though, with Ferrari racing an illegal car, and info on it coming out through the leaked data...and Ferrari (as with the barge boards, and dodgy wings, and every other time) gets off again thanks to Ferrari International Assistance (the FIA) and thier personal friend Mr Mosley.
Mosley is damaging the sports image. Anyone else doing such damage to F1 would be fined or kicked out for it. He doesn't see the damage he's doing when no one wishes to speak with him due to being damaged by being in his presence.
F1 is in need of a level playing field, rules which are used on everyone equally and by a fully neutral organisation.
Being blind to a pit lane red light, Kubica's flashing rain/1st gear red light and 2 stationary cars and having a choice of either Kimi or Kubica to deliberately smash into surely does not make for a level playing field. McLaren are a strange team, first they are required by RD to all have military haircuts and they were fined 100 million for perjury and cheating. And RD has the audacity to ask for a level playing field, huh? I think their military head shaving is taking more than just hair from their scalp.

Allan, what exactly was Illegal about teh Ferrari? If yo'u'e on about the barge board, it was never technichally Illegal, as no penalty was brought against team or driver. Just as teh "Flexi brdge wing" (over the nose) was'nt declared illegal yet steps to fix it place were imposed, it is the same situation.
now, can we get back to the STORY?

I agree with Ron. Almost anything would be better than the mess F-1 finds itself in today. Lets get back to the day when a team could buy a chassis, rent an engine and running gear, hire a driver, and go racing. That was when F-1 was really interesting and competitive. It was by any measure very much less expensive. Bernie and the team owners should establish a new CONCORDE that establishes teams: invites manufacturers to submit bids for chassis, etc. and allows reasonable development of chassis and drive trains similar to what is done in IndyCar. Teams could put on a highly competitive series for less than $100,000,000USD. I look forward to it!

Great Post Richard Larson! Your explanation is simple and makes sense. If it does come to a head and a breakaway series does eventuate they should heed your advice and also break away from general bernie as well. A real fresh start!
Anyone else noticed that this story has had its date stamp moved forward a day to keep it on the home page links? This isn't the first time Crash have increased the longevity of a story (Hamiltons statements about Magny Cours being the last one) which has controversy value to get the posters fired up.
On the customer chassis issue, I never understood why it wasn't simply dealt with by excluding a chassis buyer from the Constructors Championship. That, and a funding formula was all it required to keep Jordan/Spyker/Force India (whatever their called this week) and Williams happy. It would haev solved the Super Aguri, Prodrive and Toro Rosso problems at a stroke.

Isn't this the same Ron Dennis who ran Honda turbos at the end of the turbo era when no one else could win a race the last season except once and that was because Senna was knocked out by a lapped car, 15 of 16 races if I remember correctly. Not to mention several other things like tractor brakes, bending back wings, a driver (Senna) who knocked people off the road to win championships, team orders. Sorry Ron, you only want it equal because right now you're less than equal to Ferrari and probally BMW..... you want equal, have your engine partner GIVE (not sell, but GIVE) engines to a smaller team....

@Allan Ferrari racing illegal car?! Is this your biased mind or you are simply misinformed? Ferrari (and all other teams in F1) exploit holes in regulations, true. At the time this car was on the racetrack it wasn't illegal! Or understanding things like that is too much for a simple mind?

Well said D.Alec
Allan is bit of a one sided blinkered fool who at every oppertunity likes to knock Ferrari.
