Alonso downplays BMW link for 2009.

Fernando Alonso has sought to pour cold water on the speculation linking him to a possible switch to BMW-Sauber next year.

Every day something else. Is this Alonso craving for attention or crash.net desperately trying to have some news every day.

Who cares?

Finish this season first, after the first race next year we know where everyone is and stands.....

Jeez.

where in the article did it say they would dump kubica for alonso. try reading it again, they are good friends and the article is about the possiblity for them to be team mates.

alonso answers the question as always honestly, cant understand the abuse he gets for this? whats the guy meant to say when he is asked a question????

would u of liked it if he had said yes i want to go to BMW!!! that would of been wrong too im sure.

He might be a great addition to the BMW stable, but he sure wouldn't bring stability. If I were BMW, I'd want somebody who'd be around for longer then a year, which is what the paddock rumours of him having a contract with Ferrari for 2010 would indicate.

Not too mention BMW would be his 4th team in 4 years, not exactly the picture of loyalty if you ask me

Andrew P. this is a competitive sport and as any other person loyalty is only to oneself. You just go were is more money or a better car and that is a fact the fact that he is able to change team means his services are saw out by many teams wich only speak well of his qualities as a driver.
Put it this way in the last 4 years I work for 11 diferent companies, never being fired and sometimes i move just for the offer of a few more days of holidays a year, like me is a lot of people everyone has to look after himself and loyalty is just for romantics and mediocres who can not find a better job.

Mat, most companies want some sort of stability, race teams included, because new people need time to acclimate to new surroundings and if the person is going to leave again in a short period of time, then its simply a waste of time and resources to hire the job jumper in the first place, even if they bring good skills to the job for a short period of time.

I know when I'm looking at resume's for fulltime jobs, more often then not, I'll throw away a resume of somebody who's jumped jobs too much because its not worth it to invest my or my companies time & resources to bring somebody on board who will end up leaving sooner rater then late

andrew, you're correct. look how stability in drivers, managers etc, brought ferrari frm mid field to the top. this story is one of the normal useless stories put on crash.net. it must be "alonso week"
