Bernie: Me want to destroy Max? B****cks.

Bernie Ecclestone has fervently dismissed claims that he played a part in the Max Mosley tabloid sting that has rocked Formula 1 in recent months, stressing that any hints that he is out to destroy his long-time ally and business associate are ‘a lot of b****cks, quite frankly'.

The meltdown has began. F1 fans around the world must "thank" Max & Bernie for turning the ultimate motorsports into a circus to fit their own personal agenda & to satisfy their own personal greed for power.

When people want to avoid lying in difficult situations, they say things like "There's no evidence for that" or "I can't believe you would suggest such a thing" rather than a simple 'No'. Read Bernies response again.

Frankly, the quickest way for BE to wreck MM would be to ask for his £300m back. The FIA are still paying for all the background investigation, but Max would be scrabbling to pay his lawyers (I bet they wouldn't do it on a no-win no-fee basis!)

BE has flipped his position so often recently he's in danger of meeting himself coming back. I can't tell anymore whether he's simply being mendacious or if he's genuinely lost the plot. Effects the same though!

The Meltdown began a long time ago, in fact around the time Max & Bernie got their grubby little hands on F1
We did get a few good years & then the mucking around with the rules started
Refuelling being reintroduced so races are won & lost in the pit lane
Changing the qualifying format more than once to suite the TV companies (allegedly)
Then there are tyres, first they have to last a whole race, then when they can change them they have to use both compounds
I still don't understand why or what that allegedly brings to the sport

Bernie is as responsible for the state of present day F1 as the FIA if not more

But there again to the likes of Max & Bernie it is no longer a sport
Just a cooperate hospitality business
