Max Mosley knew there were moves afoot to uncover some salacious aspects about his private life, two months before the News of the World's damning front page exposé entitled ‘F1 boss has sick Nazi orgy with 5 hookers', it has been claimed.
So it was a plot to tear him down. For me, this changes the whole thing. Mosley has my full sympathy now. Nobody should succeed using dirty backstabbing.

Well, if no-one should succeed through dirty backstabbing, a sentiment I have great sympathy with, then MM really shouldn't have been made President in the first place.
Back on Planet Earth, we have to remember that no-one forced him to romp around with five prostitutes: I believe his participation there was at worst voluntary, and probably quite willing.
No-one would offer an 'open budget' to bring down MM unless he had really really annoyed them, and they had an extremely stretchy chequebook. Moseley has been on a downward spiral since 2006/7, and he should really go. Considering the warnings he was given, look up arrogant in the dictionary and you'll find his picture.

The paramount question now is: What was Mosley doing to piss somebody off to this degree (open budget). Was he blocking corruption? The method used reveals they couldn't tear him down legally, so Mosley obviously did not anything wrong (professionally).

at the end of the day what he does in his private life shouldn't affect his job and i support him in that but unfortunatly it has and if he knew something was going on he shouldn't have taken any unnecessary risks. so now he has won the vote he should step down with some dignity

What I get from this is that either he didn't think his romp would be caught (which I doubt) or else wanted this to get out for some reason. Possibly to help figure out who's bankrolling this open budget?
It amazes me that this man still has his job. If he was the CEO of any major corporation in the world he would have been gone in a heartbeat. You can argue about private life, etc. all you want. But the fact of the matter is that when the head of a major global institution/corporation is caught in such an act it attracts press for all of the wrong reasons. And it reflects very poorly on the FIA for them to have allowed this man to keep his job. Maybe I'm alone on this, but I'm beginning to wonder why the FIA even exists. It doesn't appear to do anything of any consequence (aside from rake in money from F1). Seems to me like F1, WRC, etc. could exist just fine without it.

It is strange if all this is true, that Max did not contract the services of Titan to investigate. Instead he contracted a totaly different security firm. One would have thought that a man as inteligent as Max Mosley would have a reason for this decision.

Maybe he's not so intelligent after all? They don't call him Mad Max for nothing.

'It amazes me that this man still has his job. If he was the CEO.....' Didn't the President of the United States of America get a blow job in the Oval Office and didn't he lie to a Grand Jury? And today he's looked upon as one of the greatest Presidents! Max has done nothing wrong except get caught. Too bad we didn't have camera's small enough back when to spy on James Hunt. Search KIMI on Youtube, perhaps he shouldn't be driving? Let's ban him! He's obviously ruining the reputation of F1 with his drunken binges. Get a life! I don't care what you do behind closed doors, if you show up for work and do a bloody good job, who cares?

Max Mosley (no relation to myself of course) should be made the subject of a perverts' film on the same line as Richard Gere's - The Flock. A job as President of the FIA requires not only integrity but also pride. Getting caught with his pants down, and getting whipped on his behind by a number of women for three hours should shed any person of his self respect and pride. Retaining Mosley as President of the FIA, means that those delegates who voted for him are not better than the pervert himself. The axe should have been wielded on his head from the time this matter was brought to light.

Gordo - Clinton was impeached and censured. Despite not being removed from office there were actual consequences to his actions. How he is looked upon in terms of his Presidential legacy is subjective and irrelevant to the argument at hand. Kimi isn't the head of the FIA, a global organization.

Getting caught on camera, after being forewarned is stupidity. That further makes him disqualified for the job. The way Bridgestone and Ferrari have manipulated FIA in recent past, I am sure they already knew some of Mosley's secrets and used it. Someone has compared Clinton story here, what happened there was wrong as well. For all you know the person in question might have been a spy of enemy nation and could have forced the president into taking decisions that would have threatened the country and world. Who knows Mosley must have taken many of the decisions under duress, e.g constant changes in tyre rules, USGP 2005,2003 Michelin Tyre disqualification. Anybody given this a thought?

Also, having a few too many drinks isn't quite the same as a nazi-themed orgy with hookers by a man whose father was a staunch fascist.

And again has someone forgotten, Thomas Sheckter, son of F1 champion Jody Sheckter, lost his ride with Jaguar F1 when he was caught with a prostitute.Friends we can't have double standards here. And the very fact that Max is not entertained by any host nations at race venues has given clear signal, HE SHOULD GO.
Nobody should be even wasting time on analysis of whether he was framed or not. For all you know Ferrari may have Framed McLaren last year.

Let me get this straight...Max was known by his friend here, that he had been visiting these themed prostitutes, as not just once, Max had been there, known to of been there, the press learned he had been there and went to nosy, his friend learned they had seen and will be recording next time so tells Max to keep a low profile from his sordid dealings for a while. Max ignores his friend and still goes and gets caught on camera.
Being caught with your pants down on camera is bad enough. Having being warning before hand is the kind of utter arragance we've come to expect from Max. Let me guess, the press used a Merc van, thereby its all a McLaren stich up :P me cynical, never!
If Max the Pervert was warned that someone was on to his disgusting behaviour then he is even more stupid than we all thought. Get the creep out of motorsport before he makes it as sick as he is!

Matt, what planet do you live on? You say the FIA does not do anything of consequence when everyone knows that even if you don't like the way it runs F1, it does a huge amount for road safety (NCAP and IRAP for example) not to mention driver safety in F1. Also, it's a bit stupid to say that Mosley was involved in Nazi role play before the question has been decided by the High Court.
To moralise about someone else's sex life is infantile and very old fashioned. If someone does a good job, what he gets up to in a private bedroom is completely irrelevant.
Anyone who is shocked by lawful consensual sexual activity among adults is either sad, stupid or impotent and needs to get a life!

It amazes me that the majority of those posting in support of the on going witch hunt against Mosley, cannot even get their facts right. Max Mosley was the victim of an illegal entrapment, this has been stated by MI5 and he has been judged by the FIA as acceptable to continue in his position. No reference to Nazi involvement was found. We now have confirmation that this was an organized illegal entrapment by a recognized security firm. The owner of the Times and the NOTW has made an effort to separate the publications for some reason, I wonder why? We even have some ignorant gutter level journalist using the issue to bring up his weekly expected self serving mention of the holocaust.
