Fernando Alonso has dismissed suggestions Renault will soon be in a position to fight for the podium again in Formula 1, despite lining up third on the grid for last weekend's French Grand Prix.
I find this very strange...... i remember last year when, and i quote from the esteemed pages in here "maclaren & lewis benifited from Alonso's supreme skill to develope the car"............ can i ask where that "supreme skill to develope the car" has gone? It seems to me now, that Mr Alone so is slating Renaut, and of course, any position gained is totally down to his skills & the factory efforts are zero........ WOW! what a team player!!!
I hope the factory guys read between the lines too........ Alonso thinks you are all useless, so give up........
well said Mick, Alonso is a disgrace and Renault should do what Mclaren did last year and boot him out straight away. To Alonso,this is a gap year and he has no interest in trying to develope a winning car at Renault.How many years did it take Schummacer to make Ferrari what they are today? 4 years i think. But Alonso just expects to walk into Ferrari,the best car.I would laugh so much if Ferrari didnt want him,he's a big trouble maker.

Remember Alonso claimed he gave 3/10th's or something to McLaren by hiring him alone? Well then we found out that Renault CHEATED for 2 years with direct copies of the McLaren car, in which Alonso won 2x WDC.
The punishment? Nothing, Zero. As Bernie is part owning a team with the Renault Team Boss.
Incredible, and only in F1 would this happen.
Alonso is a brilliant driver like Hamilton, Kimi and Co - but he 'aint God.

Damn, this hatred for Alonso is unbearable. Fred never claimed to be God. What evidence is there that Renault copied it's car from McLaren to win world championships? The McLaren car at that time was either unreliable or slow. Yet the "direct copy" of it that Renault was using won the WDC two years in a row. How much has this year's McLaren improved since Australia? Not much. Macca could use Alonso's development skills about now! Get off the mindless hatred of Alonso and bring some real arguments next time.

Fernando Alonso is such a joke. Last year, he made such a fuss of Lewis Hmilton being being the favourite at McLaren and used that as an excuse for him not to win the shampionship. Now, he is blaming Renault? Excuses, excuses, excuses...Why not just admit that HE is the one to blame and HE IS NOT THAT GREAT AFTER ALL!!! Take that Alonso! "Because you're not worth it".
