As he prepares for arguably the biggest date on his 2008 sporting calendar this coming weekend – the British Grand Prix, in front of thousands of his adoring home supporters – Lewis Hamilton has re-iterated his desire to remain with McLaren-Mercedes for the rest of his Formula 1 career, even if he predicts the toughest challenges are still to come.
Here we go again, crash serves up another chance for the 'numpties' to vent their spleens with yet more repetitive outpourings of hatred towards this guy. This despite the fact he was speaking at a hospital he was visiting.I even read comments over the weekend from folks who thought he was in charge of the yacht which had an accident that he was a guest on.Talk of scraping the barrel!!

I don't see how the fact that he was speaking from a hospital will stop people "venting their spleens", but anyway back to the topic. The boy is talking sense this week, although i do think that his unwavering commitment to McLaren may eventually lead to his downfall.
I do agree with his last comment, the media should really lay off his back a bit and remember that there are 19 other drivers in the field.

Your right, his quest in life is either to sink people or run them off the track, has anybody told him you don't get awarded points for taking people out?
The man is a liability, if he co'cks up at Silverstone, he should lose his drive in F1

I added that bit Backbeat because if you believe some people,he eats little children raw just for fun!! Kristoff, you are not serious surely? Do you really think Mclaren would drop him? If so there is little help for the majority of the grid! Get real and stop being so silly!!

I agree that his toughest times are ahead of him, and so far when he's encountered tough times he's shown that not only can he not deal with them, he actually contributes to them, usually by rear ending someone, even his team mate isn't exempt from Lewis's irrational driving. His blatant self praise to Louise Goodman was something i've never witnessed before in F1 and i hope never to hear the like of it again. They say when the going gets tough the tough get going and he does, unfortunately into panic mode.

Big nuts... dont waste your time with this boy with such a childish nickname. He's a children, believes in everything he reads, thinks he's the owner of truth. McLaren should fire Ron Denis and hire him, cause he knows who can be the champion. He bitching because Alonso was the only World Champion who was beat by a Rookie...

inibex - in 1996 JV beat Schumacher. I am sure that other rookies have beaten world champions too.

Yeah, he wants to be with McLaren his entire career now, but what happens when they have another year like 2004 or 2006? He should ask Kimi about it before he makes that kind of commitment.

Big Nuts (pfffmwahahahah!!!), sorry i cant adress someone with that name seriously ...
Well if I hadn't realised about sarcasm being the lowest form of wit, I imagine the comment
"I just read your comment and broke a rib laughing God A55 holes like you should not be allowed to comment on here, there should be an age limit of 10 and above."
would have confirmed the fact.
Do you realise that it's almost universally accepted that attacking a poster, rather than debating/disproving his views is the sign of someone who has no valid argument to make against those views. As someone else has correctly pointed out,JV beat a champion, Alonso was not the only driver to be beaten by a rookie.
Oh and whilst I'm tutoring you, it's "wit", not "whit"

Mark, JV was not Schumi's teammate at the time. In relatively equal cars World Champion Alozo got spanked by a rookie. This is quite rare and possibly unique.

Geno you are correct that they were not teammates but that is a distinction that inibex failed to make. I do find your use of the term "spanked" interesting as it shows that you are clearly a fanboy. They essentially tied as they had the same number of points and wins. If you call getting more second places "spanked" I would love to know what you consider a close finish. You have to remember that Lewis had already been testing for the team for a year and was under no pressure to perform. Alonso was a Mclaren rookie. To be fair he would have had to of beaten Alonso by around 20 points to consider claiming that he "spanked" him.

mc laren decided to swap places for them in hungary too ... and according RD, they were racing against Alonso for the last 5 races .. but fanboys dont remember that
Chu Chu,can you explain clearly how someone who supports or tries to defend Hamiklton is a fanboy with whatever odd connotations you put to that word and yet you a real Alonso follower and defender cannot be called the same? I do not understand the logic!!!You are also still wrapped up in last year,it must hold bitter memories for you to keep raking up the past?
