I wouldn't be so harsh on Raikkonen. I did think Schumi was amazing but I remember plenty of days when his teammate would hold up the field/get out of the way so that the meister could triumph once more. I may be wrong but wouldn't Irvine have won the '99 championship had he he not previously had to hold station behind Michael at the French GP?
As for the wet: Michael had the safety car at his exclusive disposal too so he had the luxury of a car on standby with a wet set-up that he could just jump into if it looked like rain. At that wet Spanish GP in '96 he was the only one with a full wet set-up and so looked unbelievably stunning rather than just very good.

Kimi's car was clearly unbalanced: that can be fixed in a few days. I don't think there is a crisis at Ferrari: I expect them to be fighting for the win at the next race.

Move on Kimi. It's just one of those days.

Ah, I think I meant spare car at his disposal, not the safety car. Although you never know ...

Hi Folks,
Don' t waste your time so everybody knows that Raikkonen is not the future of Ferrari as Schumi did? Instead of Kimi, Vettel could be better for Ferrari? Anyway if rumuours goes on for new seat in Ferrari then it is a serious question to think on especially for you as Kimi's supporters?
Last year the championship was a lottery for Kimi but that' s all for him!...Let me say that if Kimi stands behind Massa at the end of this season then his future will be judged by Ferrari!!!

Bulent, no one even understands what 'problem + risk + mistake' means. Start talking coherently and lucidly and stop wasting other readers' time.
As George2 has pointed out, there were a lot of factors that contributed to Schumacher's wins... a. Exclusive use of the team car b. Exclusive use of the best strategy c. The best mechanics & race engineers within the team d. A teammate hired to be his personal b|tch and rear-gunner for every single race of the season. Please explain how your so-called Solution+Logic covers any of these points.
Im not saying he wasnt good... but he marred his legacy with his tactics and behavior on more than one occasion.
Typical Italian car! when it's perfect it's the best but when it's not it's a dog. Just like the ones you buy in the shop. I thought Kimmi wanted the track to be hot as the Ferrari is better on rubber than McLaren but in this article he mentions as the track got hot it didn't help them. Again another intreging battle between them in 08 and Kimmi seems disappointed to have fallen to 3rd on the WDC but still has faith in the Italian Stallion. Good to see! BULENT the correct answer to your math quiz is S + T + U + P + I + D .
ok guys i like mclaren but i am impartial here and would just like to add and before you all get on at me i think but not 100% sure but i seem to remember seeing a bridgstone article that said they were taking the harder compound tyres to germany now the mclaren is harder on tyres than ferrari and post race comments ive read from other teams suggest that others were having problems with the rear of the car sliding about just like kimi said part of his problem was i.e. the backend stepping out so maybe there was just not enough heat being transfered through the rear tyres to keep them up to temperature
Maybe Barry, although I think there was more to it than just tyres. On board the car looked like a real handfull compared to the Maclaren which was working on minimum steering input and handling beautifully. I'm sure we'll never get to find out the true reason for the lack of performance.
F1Tos & Ghost, once again you two are the fresh air in a stinking pit if comments.
Why do people have to be so goddamn stupid, immature and un-knowledgeable with their comments.
I understand your comment about Mika being a true champ Ghost. A blindingly fast driver and not an ounce of bad blood in him. You never saw Mika do a dirty on any opponent in order to win the race.
Nice to hear from you again. I've been kinda off the board for the las few weeks because I couldn't find a single original and intelligent thing being said, so there was no scope for any comment. Alas, I'm not going to be able to watch the Hungaroring. I'm moving house, so staying with a friend for a week or so and he doesn't get the Motorsport channel. :-(
