Lewis Hamilton has warned his Formula 1 rivals that they have only seen ‘bits of the real Lewis Hamilton' over the course of the 2008 world championship season so far, and insists that when he is on top form he is unbeatable.
Can someone remember this arrogant boy the first rule of F1: It´s not over until it´s over...

Just stating the obvious...when both Hamilton and McLaren get it hooked up 100%, they are a tough proposition to beat.
He never said that he was going to win it without working for it and in previous interviews has stated that there is some way to go and that the competition is strong.
In the last two races we have seen Hamilton and the car 100% as one and if he is basing his comments on these two performances, we can't really disagree as the results are pretty conclusive evidence.
I think he gets a lot of unfair criticism but in this case - shut UP, sir. No-one can touch us? Just this year or ever? I wouldn't say the Ferrai drivers were 100% in Hockenheim, Alonso doesn't have the car...
And referring to yourself in the third person? Unless you're Julius Caesar, no. No, no, no.

just when he appeared to bematuring and toning down his comments, lulu reverts to his old ways. he went from zero to hero over the last two races, lets hope that he doesnt **** it up again.
Its just another pile of tripe spilling out...its these sort of comments that make me dislike him..ok Alonso is a moody git, Kimi prefers to act dull to avoid interviews and what not...but they never come out with crap like this - well not that I can ever recall....Thing is you got to wonder if its his actual beief or if its a case of saying it to distract everybody else around him, shifting their focus from thir own race and strategy and focusing on him instead...great ploy if it is....but I think he's just fallen in love with himself

El Pibe, Lewis Hamilton is a man NOT a boy - or are you saying that in the same context red neck southerners said it about black men before the civil rights? Disgusting. Hamilton is modest but honest - I wouldn't ask for anything more in a man. Plus he is a genius!

While he's a great driver, KR is frankly boring off the track. I wish more driver's were like LH. Its good to see ego in this sport and makes for a more interesting off track season
Are you guys kidding? Drivers here in the States say similar things all the time. It's just driver talk - no big deal. This isn't even headline material.

I'm happy to admit he will be one of the greats, but some people just don't understand that the public appreciate a humble champion so much more than a self-idolizing jackass. Listen to all the people who cant stand him now. People who previously liked him.
It's not gonna effect his life much that people are coming to dislike his sudden arrogance, but if you were him wouldn't you want to be thought of in the same light as humble champions like Roger Federer?
People adore and want the best for roger not just because he's an exceptional tennis player, but because he remains a regular, modest, shy, down to earth guy.
One day lewis will realize greatness needs no advertising.

Raw Dawg, no they don't. I follow most forms of car racing, and there is no-one in the same position as lewis (IE top driver, top team, top form) who talks themselves up to the same extent as Lewis.
Occasionally you hear slower drivers, or quicker drivers who've been performing terribly talking a bit like that cos they feel the need to convince people they're not really slow, but still not to the extent Lewis is.
Never in my life have I heard anyone with as as much talent and opportunity, who's in such good form, crap on like this.

So what! Big deal!!I watch him because of his driving ability not for what he says.Get a life, find something else to bleat about!

I think we should give him some space. Some times comments are taken out of context and who knows what was being discussed. I hope for his sake he does not lead the Ferraris by 21 or was it 23 points with 3 races to go.... B Cave relax, leave race out of it.

Agree about Kimi, but an ego is only acceptable (and only to a degree) if you have something to back it up with. Some would say Senna had an ego, but that was because he was so focussed on demloshing his rivals. He spanked Prost in his first season for Mclaren - Prost was a much more experienced driver and widely regarded as the best at that time. And when I say spanked, I mean compresensively out qualifying and winning by comfortable margins, when men were men.
Hamilton can not lay claim to greatness...

until he does something noteworthy ie. win a title, and well. And as for the Roger Federer comment, bang on. He is modest and grounded, as is Rafa Nadel. Notice how when Rafa beat Fed at Wimbledon, he was very quick to say that Fed was still the best, still the yard stick. I would pass out if Hammy was as humble...

I knew this headline was going to get people going again as soon as I read it. I like LH but why he fails to realize that at least a fifth of the drivers in F1 can and will win races if they were 100%, I dont know. I'd say relax LH, it's still early days, shut up and drive!
I agree with cemo, LH cannot lay claim to greatness yet!
Who really cares about drivers attitude??? All I care is his ability to win races and the WDC this year. It has being a long time coming, by the way Lewis won majority of his championships in his second year. And during his previous series he was unbeatable!!!!

I am not a Hamilton fan even though I think he has incredible driving skills but affirmations like his are the reason I just can't be a fan of his... Maybe the day he stops being so ***** and arrogant... And B Cave, don't start this racist talk again. It's BS
