Alonso: Ferrari 'never an option'…for 2009.

Fernando Alonso has moved to finally quell all speculation linking him to a move to Maranello next year, by insisting that such a possibility ‘was never an option' – at least for 2009.

well we knew this a week ago but he may shoot himself in the foot if he goes to honda i doubt ross brawn can turn honda around in a single season and he does seem to be getting somewhere with the renault maybe better the devil you know applies here.

Alonso must be reveling in the fact that several teams are holding their breath for him to make his decision. Hopefully he does shoot himself in the foot,or preferably in the *ss. I'd like to see Honda get their act together for 2009 and perhaps he can go head to head with Button so we can compare the two on an equal footing.

they were fully compared at renault, when alonso was only 20. flav went with fernando. nothing against jenson as i am a fan but fernando is a notch above. not much tho but the difference that makes him a world champ

i have to agree brendan i really think alonso has the edge over button by a long way as well he is in a different class to button, button should have stopped at williams instead of being stupid

yep, the difference actually is shown well in the imola race in 05. when schumi breezed passed the BAR but couldnt do the same to the renault. great race that one, MS and alonso were super that day.
