Felipe Massa's deficit to F1 world championship leader Lewis Hamilton shrank by a further point in the hour after the Japanese Grand Prix, when race stewards decided to penalise Sebastien Bourdais for a collision with the Brazilian.
wtf is this about? its not as if bourdais could have really gone anywhere else....he was on the racing line ffs. another very strange decision from the stewards. they should hire permanent stewards so penalties are fair and consistent and at the least make sense.

i dont know why they don't just stop this farce they call formula 1 right now and just give the trophies to ferrari and massa.because it so blindingly obvious that the fia and the stewards want another ferrari championship year.what with some crappy stewards decisions this year and john toddt joining the fia i don't know why they don't change the name of the formula from f1 to ferrari 1. f1 is just a joke now.

Bourdais probably had about 3 inches of tarmac on the inside of the corner, massa had about 20ft spare on the outside of the corner, but more importantly is driving a RED car. Hence bourdais is penalised!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ******* FIA CHEATS!!!!!!!!!!!! We all know who will be world champion this year, lets just award it to the RED car and be over with it now. PS great drive from Alonso and piquet

This is crazy. Bourdais had the racing line. Whereas Massa went fully off track and booted Hamilton off, Bourdais held his ground ON THE RACING LINE, Massa trying anambitious move around the outside, and Bourdais gets penalised???? Harsh, very harsh, Bourdais drove a great race.

Ferrari Internatinal Assistance employs its bias yet again, in its never-ending program of everyone is guilty, except the prancing horse, even when they commit the offence. Stewards 2 questions: "were the bloody hell was Bourdias supposed to go, into the wall as Massa cut him up as he came out of the pits?" "Are your rose-tinted glasses supplied by LDM?"
You stewards are all a bunch of biased idiots, supported by a biased organisation & immoral leadership

This decision was totally predictable and in line with most FAI/stewards rulings. Max is not going to allow LH to win the championship and the decisions will become even more controversial and outragious in the next 2 rounds if necessary. What have the FAI got to lose? their credibility? The FAI is a joke and needs to be dismantled.

FIA why don't you just award the world championship crown to Ferrari both drivers and contructors, this is stupid now.
I thought it was Massa who should have yielded, and perhaps be in question

In a way I'm glad this has happened, everyone has been saying that the conspiracy theories are all because of the british hamilton mania, but the fia have shown that anybody can fall victim to the ferrari bias, hopefully the teams and fans who think it's ok it's not my driver might start thinking abit more about what is going on..
The fact that the stewards don't have to explain how they reach their decisions show the fans are not an important part of the show, christ we are paying good money and want to understand every nuance...not constantly be hit with decisions that even have ex racers and commentators stumped!!!!

Yet again the FIA have shown they are biased in favour of Ferrari and anti Mclaren. They are ruining this sport with their heavy handed penalties. The way they are going F1 will soon be reduced to a 10 lap sprint with 2 mandatory pit stops and a ban on over taking. Every F1 fan should start watching Moto GP, WSB and BSB and watch some proper racing where the governing bodies mainly let them get on with it.

what a load of bull !! and they say there's no favourtism towards Ferrari Bourdais was legitaly leaving the pit lane he had no where to go if anyone should of recieved the penalty it should of been Massa im a Honda fan but the way i see it is if had of been Hamilton instead of Massa we all know what would of happened, these stupid penaltys are taking over Drivers are more concerned about getting a time penalty than they are about winning the race ,they are spoiling what little excitment is left in F1 at the moment racing is racing so let em race !
So now it goes like this: DO NOT try to race your opponents OR defend your position (even when you have the racing/inside line) if they are of a scarlet colour. If they turn in on you anyway, and subsequently spin off, YOU will be punished...
What a total p!ss take.
Why do we even bother getting up early in the morning to watch the race live when the results are still being changed 2 hours later... Obviously Spa wasn't enough controversy for the 'powers that be' in this "sport".
Is it any wonder Hamilton drives with a red mist in his face????
Poor Bourdais... The guy was racing FOR POSITION, not being lapped...
Talk about being biased, all you LH ballswingers or Ferrari haters are ****** blind. Cars on the main track always have the right of way, cars coming out of the pit lane, it's their responsibility to watch out of other cars on the track. You guys are either biased or ignorant for saying it's crazy. It also sounds to me that most of you don't know how to drive nor have a driver license.

WTF!!!
Bourdais was riding for position. He had the racing line. Massa went around the outside and squeezed Bourdais.
are you all retarded massa left bourdais enough room i have studied the photos bourdais under steered into massa.. massa was making a clean overtaking move.. do you want overtaking or not ?? and if the stewards are so biased why was massa given a penalty in this race and the last one.. you hamilton fans really are a bunch of sore losers.

Continual stupidity. Yes yes it appears biased by the FIA but putting that to one side... The FIA have been looking at ways of increasing overtaking, well here's one for you guys, don't penalise everyone evry time they get close to another car. It is utterly stupid and makes me think the FIA like processions and want overtaking restricted purely to Pit Stops. Up early on my one day off, for what? A nice race that has no relevance because the result is not as I saw it!
