Sébastien Bourdais has hit out at Felipe Massa following the pair's contentious collision in the Japanese Grand Prix today, claiming the Ferrari driver showed him no respect and ‘behaved like I didn't exist'.
I live in the States and stayed up to 2:30am watching the race and for me to wake up and see that Bourdais got a penalty for that incident is unreal. He did not come out of the pits and swerve in front of Massa - Massa turned into him. It is always on the overtaking driver to make a clean pass. Bourdais drove an excellent race and for his race to be ruin by this is a shame.
But the real question is why does every contact warrant a penalty? What happen to "racing incidents"? This is motor racing, no?

Don't you know Sebastian that no one is allowed to pass a Ferrari? Look back to Belgium

TO HELL WITH MASSA, HAMILTON, ALONSO, SCHUMACHER ETC. ETC. ..... F1 IS BREEDING NOTHING BUT SELFISH, LOW-DOWN, POMPOUS, RUTHLESS IDIOTS WITH NO INTEGRITY & SPORTSMANSHIP WHATSOEVER !!!
NO MORE F1 FOR ME !!!

Great comment by Seb there. We need people like him in f1 to stand up to fia. as for the penalty this is ridiculous it is racing ffs and if it was a mclaren bourdais hit we would not be having a story to comment on. in motogp at jerez in 2005 rossi gibernau last corner last lap rossi made a lunge and took 1st place no penalty. f1 is being decided in pit stops and perhaps the start. now all these penalties are happening its creating pointless stories about overtaking and if it is deemed as a good move.

It's pathetic the way the FIA continually favors Ferrari. Massa should have received the penalty, not Bourdais.
Great drive Seb! You're finally starting to show your true talent. Hope to see you in a Renault next year!

Sebastian ran a great race. They can not take that away. I just wonder how they are going to fix this train wreck that F1 has become.

As usual, more BS from the FIA. Time to start watching more IRL. No FIA Ferrari favoritism there.

It does remind of the incident in sepang some years back when M Schumacher and JP montoya had a coming together in the first corner! And Juan Pablo Montoya got penalised for the incident which was Shumachers fault! I remember hearing montoya's comment on the radio when the team told him to do a drive through, montoya said " the Effing idiot drove into me!" and when montoya drove into the pits he spoke his mind on the rules saying " this is bull **** i gave him room!". I dont know who the stewards are but they seem very unfair in their decisions at times!
Its all you can expect,, sorry, when any driver has an incident with a Ferrari driver. Its called the F.I.A. we all know what that means by now!!!!!!!

Good call there Rick! Imagine if Ferrari entered IRL? They will be in for a big shock and have to work to win instead of hoping for backing from the governing body of the sport in their favour!
If you read American F1 websites, you will find (in contrast to here and PlanetF1) people are much more open minded over there and a lot calmer. By this, I mean they are logical. No baby name calling like: 'Lulu, or Shamilton' = Hamilton.
People are honest and say it how it is without going crazy on each other. (Lots of arguing and hating here, usually over McLaren - in contrast).
I support Williams, but still - if the FIA are playing with the rules for all to see, there is nothing wrong with saying this surely?
We should take some lessons from our American cousins maybe?

: : if that is the way how schumacher won his titles at Ferrari, then damn all of them!!!
this is ro unreal!!! All these big petrol-, bank-, and other spenders, how can you accept this? Is that not insulting you and the money you throw in the mouth of this joke?
Its another sad day... In the 80ties they couldnt have done this because people like senna or hill, patrese etc would have gone over and beat the shyte out of them!

This is a quote from Bordais. What do you think?
"It's totally dirty. That's about it, dirty. Piquet hampers me in the straight and nobody ain't say anything. And me, I do nothing to Massa, whom tries something crazy on me, and there you go, I get penalised. This has gone too far, that's too much. The FIA is a great puppeteer that commands everything. Now, I'll know that when Massa arrives behind me, I have to let him past. You have to fade out for some opponents.
Of course, there's still my performance of this weekend. But anyways, the people only remember the results and I lose my 3 points. This is a ****** season, I tell you. I'm completely fed up with this."

i must admit i am a hamilton fan. and he lost the race on his own mistakes but you cant go and punishing another driver just because hamiltons on bad terms with the fia or FIArrari. so what give massa 1 point big deal but to take points away from a driver who isnt involved in this fued is just wrong

To be honest i'm still stunned by this decision...the worst about it is - it might cost SB his drive in F1 next year. He's been under pressure to come up with results and when he finally gets into the mix, some numpty of a steward penalises him for getting hit by an over zealous Massa.
Its about time a few of the teams and drivers got together and just didnt move from the grid after the lights go out, let the Ferraris motor off into the distance with nobody chasing them. CW will have to stop things and then MM and BE will have to ask why...answe..simple..Ferrari International Assistance - bit naive thinking on my part but something has to be done...its getting beyond a joke
I'm a bit of a Hamilton fan, but I figured that they both deserved penalties today for their antics. But Bourdais? What precisely was he supposed to do to get out of Masa's way? He was in control of his car, had the inside line, was in front, and was driven into by a Scuderia FIA driver.
Obviously he was at fault.
I reckon I'm going to spend the rest of the day having a couple of beers and choosing a new sport to follow, preferably something that allows competition between teams. Anyone know where I can find a football rulebook, or do FIFA have a team?

Thou shalt not pass a Ferrari....It's happening again and again and I'm sick of it. We'll have the red pit light on each time a Ferrari is coming dawn the straight next...It's so blatant. I've been following F1 since the late 1950's,but I'm seriously fed up with it now.......don't know if I'll bother again after all these years.......sad.

I've said before in a much earlier post....before the new season starts Ferrari and their drivers are awarded the constructors title and first and second in the drivers championship. That'll make them happy and then they can all f-uck off home and the rest of the teams can get on with racing on a level playing field without having to put up with a whinging red team and bent/biased stewards and ALL of the corrupt FIA personnel... hows that for a plan ???
I thought that Spa was about as stupid as the FIA stewards could get, but no, they've gone one better---the penalty on Seb is absolutely wrong (where do they find these stewards--they know nothing about motor racing!) The real clincher that Seb was going to get 'done' was the announcement that it would be sorted AFTER the race--the precedent has been set--IT CAN'T BE APPEALED. Once again Ferrari cannot be passed!!!!
