Disgraced former Ferrari technical manager Nigel Stepney has thrown further fuel onto the fire surrounding the Formula 1 spying row after suggesting that Ferrari got off lightly following investigations into the affair.
This is the one person (apart from Coughlin) who we need to hear from to know what really happened. Every story has two sides, and not one, as Ferrari would like you to believe.
It is then pretty typical of Ferrari to poo-poo whatever he has to say because it casts them in a very bad light, given their "innocence" in the whole affair.
Will the FIA investigate? What do you think. I know what I think.

Answer to your question Calvin: FIA =(Ferrari Innocence Assured)
No investigation will ever be made into Ferrari's part in this saga, because of their influence over MM, FIA and the WMSC. All the ranting and indignation that has been coming out of Ferrari, is the sign of one party trying to cover-up something & redirect everybody's attention elsewhere. They cannot let the fact that Mclaren have been punished go,there should now be a publisher with the will to publish NS's book so we can all look at both sides of the story

What Nigel is say is the most plausable comments that have come out of the entire sying affair. But because of the people who run the show at FIA it will now only be used as a club to beat MacLaren with. I always said Max Moseley was a waiste of rations, and now has proved it.
All the offences Ferrari have commited to bring F1 into disrepute, and never any proper fines shows they are Ferrari Innocence Assured.

Surely the fact that he is willing to give secrets means he is equally willing to take them. How does ferrai's comment of "he can't be trusted" make this any less likely?! ****** todt the dirty frog!

What are the odds that every bit of techical data and info that ferrari have on Maclaren, has already been destroyed, just to cover their sly backside**** But it will interesting to find out what is really going on behind the scenes and what really happend there. Ferrari to get $200.000.000 fine*****

Stepney finally said some thing!
If had proven that my early argument that Ferrari is spying on McLaren and found that McLaren is spying on them!
That is impossible that you can get know with ohter ppl email w/o spying on them!
Oh... ya... Ferrari is toooooooo busy reading other people emails and forget to read their emails in JAPAN GP!
I always told -->"All this will soon come back to you Todt"..and Yes here we go..This is not over yet forks..Expect some more fire works...

It would not surprise me if Ferrari put a gagging order on Nigal Stepney just so he does not get them into trouble I remeber a little while back that Nigal said he was prepared to name the people who he suspects set him up and were behind all of this, but no other name has been mentioned form the Ferrari team yet Has Ferrari got someone to threaten him into not naming to the real people involved As nigal was involved in a few car chases that put him at risk? Was it the mafia. Lets hope nigal goes to a court of law and tells all then we all will know what really happend and why Then the FIA and WMSC may get put out of business and some better govening body can be created

This is becoming stupid, didn't Stepney up until yesterday constantly deny he had no involvment. Knowing that Ferrari has a criminal case against him, he just confessed to the crime. Nigel is dumb and exchange of secrets in F1 is an everyday event. I wish Lewis would just win this championship and get this season over with so we can move on to next year.

That Stepney guy is not improving his case. Now he alleges without any evidence that his good friend Mike Coughlan has betrayed McLaren by providing confidential information to Ferrari via Stepney.
I would not like to be Stepney's friend !
Even the editor of his book did step back : Stepney is a failure ! I don't believe a single word from his mouth. A treator, a liar, that's what he is...
F1 is rotten to the bone anyway !
Switch to motorcycle racing guys ! Superbikes finale this coming week-end at Magny Cours, Az GP newt week at Phillip Island...

I am suprised this site has not picked up on the latest farce in F1 as the FIA are today considering docking hamilton his points for sundays race because of the webber vettel accident which they believe is something to do with him. They have also removed the 'evidence' from utube so that the fans cannot see it also. This will allow ferrari back into the title race which is why rakonin is crowing about not giving up the race. He wont have to wait and see. The FIA will stick the knife in hamilton and twist it. I am absolutely fed up with these idiots and I think if hamilton is penalised then all fans mclaren or not should boycott the remaining races.Make it a real farce because it already is.

Ferrari are cheating ********, we all know. Of course they had info back from McLaren. Ban Ferrari for life or shoot the FIA and have fair and free elections for their posts. Nothing extreme.

it's wonderful news... but... They won't disqualify him. They dont have the guts. Hamilton has had a free ride all year and it wont stop now, perhaps they can crane lift him to the chequered flag would that suit you Golden boy fans?

Mr Stepney should stop and ask himself WHY is he making the big statements NOW because when asked if he was in anyway involved in this spy row, he clearly stated that he had nothing to do with it. So now he is crying wol************* Mr Stepney lost all and beyond his credibility and achievements by his egoistic mentality. Mr Stepney should further know that matters may get more complicated for him in the near future because I m sure Ferrari are still conducting their investigations and I m confident that more matters will surface as FIA said that the extent of his spy info leak cannot be accurately assessed at this time.
