Lewis: Blame was ours.

Lewis: Blame was ours.

Championship leader had been discussing tyre change with team prior to first DNF.

A valuable lesson learned i think ;) You should have not try to race KR when you didn't really need to, & you should hve just bitten the bullet and risked the weather with a tyre change, not tr and do it when it was to-late
Roll on an exciting climax, to the season in Brazil

I think LH did make a rockie mistake, but as the team, RD also need to be responsible for the DNF.

It is totally not necessary to take such a dangerous approach today! Just get LH finished 5th place, the driver title already secure in McLaren & LH pocket!

RD, plan seriously for the last race! Make sure next race LH to get a secure 3rd place for the championship point! (this is assume Alonso to be 1st place)

Prediction 1:
Alonso : 103 + 10 = 113 (1st place)
LH : 107 + 6 = 113 (3rd place)
Kimi : 100 + 8 = 108 (2nd place)

Prediction 2:
Kimi : 100 + 10 = 110
LH : 107 + 4 = 111 (5th place)
Alonso : 103 + 8 = 111 (2nd place)

I reckon Lewis is being diplomatic and this was a dumb decision by the team. They should have changed tyres on the FIRST stop, and leaving him out on canvas was World Championship suicide. If Lewis fails to win the WC then he will look back on two bad decisions with tyres that have cost him at least 5 points. Let's hope it is dry in Brazil so that the brains of McLaren are not tested further.

hey ron dennis, losing so much time to kimi, wasn't that a good enough indication to pit immediately, louis kept going and going and going and he was gone.

For a team of very well paid best in the best business professionals this was pathetic. My mum could have told he needed new tyres and should have been four or five laps previously. At least LH has the excuse of being a rookie and McLaren took full blame on he ITV post show.

F1 manages to look stupider every day...

Oh Man! What sucks the most about all this is that they didn't show Lewis' father's face when his pretty boy son went to the beach and stayed there for Margaritas (Ron Dennis sayed he made a small mistake, we'll see how small in 2 weeks time I guess, huh?). After having to look at that face the whole season, for the first time I was looking for it and didn't get shown! Let's see if he shows up when Lewis has to listen to the Spanish anthem from the 3rd place on the box in Brazil... :

Whoever told him to stay out - 'twas their fault, stupid decision.
But, he went into the pitlane too hot, for the tyres he was on, so it's a bit of his fault too...

What i'm wondering is, say Alonso and Hamilton finish on equal points next week, and neither of them win the race, who wins the title?

McLaren mistake was that were looking at what Alonso was doing, instead of ferrary.
If drivers end up with even points and wins, then remember Hungary.

My point it, at the moment, they're tied on 4. So if neither of them win in Brazil, the race wins are tied...

If they finish tied in points and wins (highly unlikely because Alonso would have to finish, say, second and Lewis 5th), then it would be up to second places, then 3rd places, etc.
Alonso needs to win (5 vs. 4 wins), and Hamilton finish 3rd or worse.

If Hamilton and Alonso end up having the same amount of points and the same many victories after Brazil, the one who has had more 2nd places wins...and if that's equal, the one with the most 3rd places....

to matt;
it goes on wins if points are equal, then 2nd places thirds and then poles I think.
