Ferrari's test drivers, Luca Badoer and Marc Gene managed nearly 200 laps Thursday, as the Scuderia's three-day outing at Mugello drew to a close.

Ferrari's test drivers, Luca Badoer and Marc Gene managed nearly 200 laps Thursday, as the Scuderia's three-day outing at Mugello drew to a close.

Badoer was running in an F2005, while Marc Gene, like on Wednesday made do with last year's car, the F2004.

Badoer managed a total of 100 laps, while doing some electronics testing - his best lap a 1m 22.006s. Gene in contrast did 90, his quickest a 1m 24.300s, however he was conducting an engine test aimed at 2006.

Ferrari team leader, Michael Schumacher meanwhile, who was at the test on Wednesday and who has now arrived at Hockenheim, for this weekend's German Grand Prix, told reporters that it had gone well.

"I did a lot of laps, fine tuning the car for this event," he revealed. "The new aero package seems good and the tyres we have here are also new, developed at the Paul Ricard test [last week].

"But I have to say I am not going to make optimistic remarks about this weekend, because I was optimistic coming back to Europe after Indianapolis and the results were not good."
