McLaren-Mercedes have confirmed that 2005 DTM champion, Gary Paffett will test for the team at both Barcelona and Jerez over the next few weeks.

McLaren-Mercedes have confirmed that 2005 DTM champion, Gary Paffett will test for the team at both Barcelona and Jerez over the next few weeks.

Paffett, who drove for Mercedes this year in the DTM, will drive the MP4-20 at the Circuit de Catalunya on November 28 and December 2 alongside Juan Pablo Montoya and test driver, Pedro de la Rosa.

Paffett will then move on to Jerez on December 7 and 8 alongside de la Rosa and Alex Wurz.

Paffett, who won five races in this year's DTM series, is hopeful that the test will put firmly in the shop window for a seat in F1, possibly in 2007, after he has defended his DTM title.
