Ferrari resumed testing Wednesday, however unlike the rest of the teams on the grid, the Scuderia did not run at the Circuit de Catalunya, instead they preferred to split their efforts running at Valencia and Mugello.

Felipe Massa and Marc Gene were the two drivers in action, the former beginning a three-day test at Ricardo Tormo running with the F2005.

The Brazilian was focussing on Bridgestone tyre development and enjoyed clear skies at the Spanish track. He covered 95 laps - his best a 1 minute 13.165 seconds.

Gene meanwhile was using an F2004 M, fitted with a V8 engine.

On a day when the track was wet, the Spanish test driver covered a total of 39 laps, five of them on the short version of the Mugello circuit – his quickest time, a 1m 32.672s.

Testing continues Thursday, with both drivers again in action.
