Ferrari test driver, Marc Gene topped the times Sunday at
Jerez, as
Bridgestone conducted an exclusive test with its four partner teams concentrating on the development of its wet weather tyres.
Gene completed 64 laps in total in the F2004 M on a track that was artificially watered. His best time was a 1 minute 30.084 seconds, around two tenths up on the
Toyota of Ricardo Zonta.
Zonta meanwhile managed 104 laps in the TF106, with Nico Rosberg third quickest for
Williams, having notched up 106 laps - the most of anyone driver.
Midland M
F1 duo, Tiago Monteiro and Christijan Albers were the only other two drivers on track, sharing the EJ15B, both completing around 50 laps, although the former was quicker by around one second.
Testing now continues at Jerez on Tuesday - Monday is effectively a 'rest day', with
Ferrari,
McLaren, Sauber and Toyota on track, before being joined by
Honda,
Renault and Williams the next day [Wednesday December 14].
