Super Aguri's Sakon Yamamoto will be out to do better in Hungary this weekend after a difficult debut at the German Grand Prix.
Although Yamamoto had driven the third car during Friday practice on four occasions this season, in preparation for his race debut as the number two driver, things did not go exactly to plan in Hockenheim. Furthermore while his pace wasn't too bad compared to his team-mate,
Takuma Sato, an off in the third practice session on Saturday destroyed his SA06 and his race only last one lap when he was forced out with a driveshaft failure.
Despite that though, he remains positive and now he has promised to do his best at the Hungaroring, even though he has never raced there before.
"I have never been to Hungary so it will be my first time visiting there. However, it was also my first time visiting Canada and America so I am preparing for the Hungarian race in the same way as I did for those tracks," he explained. "I am really looking forward to the Hungarian Grand Prix because in Germany I was not able to show the SA06's potential. I want to do my best in Hungary and hope that we can keep the momentum going following the encouraging pace shown by the new car last weekend."
