Grove-based outfit confidet of retaining fourth spot in constructors' title chase despite onslaught of resurgent Red Bull Racing.

After a promising qualifying performance ultimately came to nought following an engine change-induced grid penalty and eventful race in Fuji last weekend, Williams star Nico Rosberg is aiming to get back into the points again at Shanghai in five days' time.

The young German has only raced in Shanghai once before, finishing outside the scoring positions, but he is determined to add to his growing points tally in 2007 after qualifying inside the top eight for the last five races in succession – three of them in the top six. Ironically, the last time he failed to start inside the top ten was back at his ‘home' race at the Nürburgring more than two months ago.

“Shanghai is a very good track and it should suit our car quite well,” the 22-year-old stated. “It's also a great city, so I'm looking forward to a very pleasant weekend both on and off the track.

“I hope we can continue our current form that we've demonstrated in the last few races, because it's now really important that we keep Red Bull Racing behind us in the constructors' championship. Before going to Shanghai, I will be in Hong Kong for a couple of days for some marketing commitments for our partners, RBS and Oris.”

Rosberg's team-mate Alex Wurz has struggled somewhat more over the course of the season, particularly during qualifying, but has nevertheless amassed 13 points for the Grove-based squad along the way. Though he has yet to actually race in Shanghai, the Austrian does hold fond memories of the circuit.

“I remember the Shanghai track very well from last year,” he said, “when I had an awesome time as Williams F1's Friday driver posting the quickest times during both practice sessions. The layout of the track should suit our car and my driving style, so I'm going there with high hopes for a good result in the penultimate grand prix of the season.
