Having lost senior team-mates Mark Webber and Alex Wurz in each of the last two seasons, Rosberg now find himself leading the Williams effort on track, with rookie Nakajima having just one race under his belt. Although he finds it strange to be in that position after just two seasons, the German is looking forward to continuing his role in Williams' return to the front of the field.

"It is crazy to be in this position, but I see how important it is in order to advance," he commented, "I have grown a lot and have developed very strongly on the technical side. That is fun, but means I can also influence the direction the team takes. Last year, Alex helped the team move forward, but I think I also played a part, and the team could see that. It certainly helped to have Alex alongside me as a reference."
