Lewis Hamilton fans hoping to catch a glimpse of their hero in the flesh on his travels around the globe have been handed the chance to do so by motorsport specialist
Page & Moy.
With Hamilton having made such an immediate impact on the top flight, and likely to be in the running for this year's world championship, the travel company has create what it believes is the 'ultimate dream ticket' for fans hoping to cheer their hero on at no fewer than eleven of the season's top races, including Monaco, Italy, Brazil and the two new meetings in Valencia and Singapore.
The cost of the package? Just £11,000 - or roughly the equivalent of what
McLaren will fork out for a set of break discs and pads at Monaco alone!
The price includes flights, where applicable, hotel and circuit transfers, accommodation spanning two to five star, entry to all the circuits and the services of a dedicated tour guide. For those with serious money to burn,
Page & Moy are offering access to the VIP paddock areas for around £32k.
The hard-core Hamilton fan will quickly realise that the package takes in the races that Britain's new hero did not win in his debut season, although coming close in most of them will undoubtedly give Lewis a chance of success second time around.
"The UK has gone motor racing mad this year and that's all down to Hamilton's extraordinary rise through the grand prix ranks," product manager David Wilkinson revealed, "He has enjoyed incredible success and acclaim in his maiden season and 2008 can only bring more excitement.
"We just knew we had to give the fans what they wanted - a chance to see Britain's chosen hero at close quarters but, of course, fans do not need to spend £11k to get their Hamilton fix. Prices start from just £498 per person for a two-night, four-star break to the British Grand Prix in July, rising to £2,484 for a memorable, seven night trip to the new Singapore Grand Prix in September."
