“I'm just focused on this weekend,” he underlined. “I approach it the same way without the mistakes. I've had a break from racing [and] I'm feeling fresh.

“In Malaysia, it was a set-up issue. In Bahrain, Ferrari were just quicker. They had a great package, they tested there previously and got everything right. If you take a wrong step at the start of the weekend, it's difficult to turn things around. We didn't get it right in Bahrain.

“My confidence in Malaysia and Bahrain wasn't as strong as in Melbourne because finding the balance of the car wasn't as easy, but we've had plenty of testing here. We have a good balance for this race, and as a result I'm confident. The test last week was one of the most constructive we've done. I want to win more than ever.”
