In Carlin, I have the best team in British F3 and they have been instrumental in me learning and adapting so quickly to both the F3 car and the whole environment. They are so good at working with a driver and getting the best out of them and more importantly, or just as importantly, is the whole atmosphere within the team. If a driver is happy in his environment, then more often than not he will perform on track and there is such a great atmosphere in our team. All the drivers get on well and I've worked well with my engineer and the mechanics, who have been great all year.
While Maro and I were new to the team, we have some experience in Christian who did F3 last year - although unfortunately for him, he hasn't had the results that he deserves this year. Maro, myself and Christian work well as a team and we have had to work hard through the season to challenge the Mercedes cars, looking at the data looking at each others data and trying to improve the car and improve ourselves.
From a personal point of view, I think I have developed and adapted my style to suit the Formula Three car as it is slightly different to the Formula Renault machine that I raced in recent seasons. However I feel that Formula Renault is a great starting point and a fantastic series to learn in. Throughout the year I have been learning and I hope I will do until the end of the season. I'm a driver who feels that you never stop learning, even in
F1 the drivers are still learning things day in and day out. As the year goes on I'll hopefully progress as both a driver myself and with the team.
