Ultimate Challenge: Making progress up the order.

On the back of a tremendously encouraging outing at Donington Park, all-new outfit Ultimate Motorsport is fast working its way up the British F3 grid. Bertrand Decoster – chairman of the team’s chassis manufacturer Mygale – talks about the task ahead…

On paper the fact it’s a new circuit to everybody should help us. It means everybody will be starting on a level playing field, but the other teams have such massive experience in F3 that for sure with the data they have they will be quick straightaway.

Looking at the season as a whole, my overall objective is to be on the pace at every round, and to be using 100 percent of everybody’s potential as quickly as possible. I’m eager to see what we will achieve once that is the case!

Ultimate Motorsport is a new British-based racing team and the latest addition to Northamptonshire’s famed motorsport corridor. The team’s challenge is to end the years of Dallara dominance in British F3 using a new French-built Mygale chassis powered by Mercedes engines and driven by Esteban Guerrieri, of Argentina, and Ireland’s Michael Devaney.
