Pole-sitter Adam Carroll was off to a storming start and had the gap to the following Clivio Piccione up to 2.5 seconds has he nailed away in the early laps.

Piccione closed in that gap - in the fifth lap he posted a time a second better to close on from 1.9 seconds to under a second - but Carroll had everything easily in control and took victory.
