Finding the best set-up - away from the track.

As Crash.net has discovered over recent weeks, going along to testing sessions with the British winter weather is not a pleasant experience, and can only be more frustrating for teams who spend money to go on track only to have the conditions restrict the amount of testing that can be carried out.

“It is something that is long-term as quite a lot of setup work needs to be done before the car goes on the rig making sure that the data is correct,” he said. “The key advantage of the rig is that it is fully repeatable, you can do the same things over and over again. You are also not wearing out things like the engine and the tyres and it is also cheaper than going out and hiring a track for the day.

“The only problem with using the rig is that it's no good for the sun tan!!”
