Elsewhere, various newcomers to the series provide the diverse and interesting field. Carlin has Christian Bakkerud and Charlie Kimball, the later of which has looked fast pre season, but either could impress as the season develops.
The renamed National class sees a strong field, and some late entries for what are expected to be limited campaigns. Starting with those entering late in the day, Suk Sandher joins the immaculately prepared Performance F3 team for the start of the year, whilst Barton Mawer comes to T-Sport on the back of Australian F3 race wins at the Melbourne Grand Prix, although he also struggles for funds, just like last year.
Charlie Hollings, running for Promactecme, has popped up right in the midst of the Championship class runners on the timesheets in pre-season testing, and a host of other drivers such as Ricardo Teixeira from Angola at Carlin, Finn Juho Annala and Brit Jonathan Kennard at Alan Docking Racing, Mexican Salvador Duran at P1 Motorsport, Team SWR Pioneer contenders, Nick Jones and Josh Fisher, and Edenbridge Racing’s Cheong Lou Meng completes the line-up.
