Trevor Carlin: Dawning of a new era.

In the first of a series of exclusive Carlin Motorsport columns Trevor Carlin comments from Oulton Park on a busy season in Formula 3, notching up a century of wins and dipping a toe into F1 waters…

I’ll next be at the World Series by Renault race in Zolder, we’ve got the two Red Bull drivers with Colin Flemming who has been fantastic in testing, really quick, and then we’ve got a managerial role with the team Victory, engineering team from Italy and most of our guys are running that team, so that’s effectively a Carlin Motorsport entry and generally there’s a lot going on.

We’ve got a fantastic crew of guys on a management level and an engineering level and they take care of their own projects and I just sort of wander around and see what everyone is up to – most of them know what they’re doing and I just offer a bit of reassurance or they want to know how much money they can spend.
