Having already joined the championship late, Ben Clucas is likely to miss the next two rounds of the Formula Three International Series at the Nurburgring and Mondello Park, with the intention of appearing at the final round at
Silverstone.
After struggling with sponsorship issues for much of the year, the former Italian Formula Renault driver has only completed a handful of meetings this year and as money begins to look scarce, he has made the conscious decision to avoid the next two costly overseas rounds.
"he current state of play is we are missing Nurburgring and Mondello and then doing the last round at Silverstone. Obviously it is changing a lot because everyone is looking for sponsors but that is the situation at the moment. It would be good though to get to two of the remaining three rounds" Clucas told

Despite having only featured in a small number of races this year, Clucas has displayed his undoubted speed with a number of podium positions in the National class, something which he hopes to be competing in next year should sponsorship money allow him to do so.
"Next year I am not sure what I would do. Maybe National class because I have not had a full championship effort yet," Clucas told

"I could do A Class, but I do not want to do that unless I can get a full budget together. I don't want to do it by missing testing and not doing it properly. Either B Class but properly or if I got a good amount of money together, then maybe A Class".
After managing two second place finishes at Silverstone, Clucas will be hoping for a repeat performance at the circuit should he indeed reappear at the final round of the year in October.
