Ryan Lewis rounded off his British F3 season with a sixth place finish as the championship came year came to an end at Silverstone.

Lewis started from seventh place on the grid for the first of the two races but bogged down at the start, dropping to tenth place. Although he climbed back up eighth the end of the lap, a spin at Becketts on lap two put him down to 18th. Having worked his way back up the order, Lewis held twelfth when the Safety Car came out, but an incident with Yelmer Buurman and Steven Kane saw him forced to retire on the first lap after the Safety Car had returned to the pits.

Again starting from seventh on the grid for race two, Lewis got a good start and gained a place, but in a processional race he was unable to move any further up the order, despite closing in on Dan Clarke as the race progressed.

"Obviously I'd rather finish first," he said. "All in all though sixth place was the best we could hope for today. We certainly had the speed but with all the drama in the first race and then no drama at all in the second there were no opportunities to grab."
