Having spent the past year driving in the American Formula Ford 2000 series, Brit Joey Foster is returning to Europe to compete in the German based Formula Three Recaro Cup.
After signing to the HS Technik team over the winter, Foster will make his debut at the Oschersleben, piloting one of only four Lola chassis on the grid and partnering German Martin Hippe.
A finalist for the Autosport Young Driver Award last night, Foster is anticipating great things from his new surroundings and while he has gone well in testing, he is also expecting to improve through the year.
"I am very pleased to be driving for such a professional and determined team in 2006," said Foster. "Testing so far has gone well but there is a lot more potential than we have shown so far in the Lola which I believe to be a very quick car indeed. I think together we can do a great job this year and I just cannot wait to get started this weekend."
Inspired by the success of the Lola chassis in British, Italian and Japanese Formula Three, as well as the Marlboro Masters, JB Motorsport has joined HS Technik in choosing the Norfolk-based designers to aid them to the title.
