Lola once again tasted success in the German F3 Championship at a Hockenheim last weekend with British driver Joey Foster winning in his HS Technik Lola and leading the standings after four rounds from German Nicolas Hulkenburg.

The former Mclaren/Autosport Young Driver finalist took a comfortable victory in the first of the weekend's races, claiming an extra point for the fastest lap, and came home fourth in the second race.

Foster started the first race from the second spot on the grid and an excellent start saw him sail ahead of team mate Ferdinand Kool and establish an impressive lead in the Lola.

"After the first lap it was pretty comfortable for me in the lead," said a delighted Foster after the race. "There were a few concerns towards the end as the fuel pressure light came on but I had full confidence in the Lola and there was never any chance of being caught, let alone passed by anyone."

Foster's excellent race one result could not be repeated in the second race as excessive wheel spin dropped the Cornish driver to seventh going into the first corner, however a determined recovery saw Foster pass Recardo Bruins and the fellow Lola of Ho-Pin Tung to take fourth at the flag.

"It was a very solid points haul this weekend, but I was still slightly disappointed not to get on the podium for the second race," said the HS Technik driver. "Getting the fastest lap shows that we could have challenged for victory again and upheld Lola's 100% win record.

"The team and Lola once again did a fantastic job and hopefully we can push on at Lausitzring in a few weeks and extend the advantage with more wins."

Foster's success makes it three wins from the first four races for the Lola chassis, however it was Nicolas Hulkenburg in the Dallara who broke Lola's winning symmetry winning race two, with the Lola of Kool in second place.

Heading to the fifth round of the championship at EuroSpeedway Lausitz, Lola cars occupy first, third and fourth in the standings with Foster, Kool and Tung respectively.
