Moreno Soeprapto has agreed to join Asian Formula Three rivals Team Goddard for a chance to compete in front of an F1 crowd at the Australian Grand Prix Formula Three support race at Albert Park.

Moreno Soeprapto has agreed to join Asian Formula Three rivals Team Goddard for a chance to compete in front of an F1 crowd at the Australian Grand Prix Formula Three support race at Albert Park.

Although he races for Threebond in the Asian series, the Indonesian driver has taken the advantage of Team Goddard's offer to join Henri Karjalainen and Paul Ip for the blue riband event of the Australian, and to some extent the Asian, Formula Three Championship.

For Soeprapto, who will race a TOM'S Toyota powered Dallara F304 in Melbourne, switching to Goddard briefly will mark something of a return for him having competed with their sister team, Eurasia, in the 2004 Formula BMW Championship.

“It's a bit like welcoming him home as he raced for our sister team,” claimed team boss Mark Goddard. “He won the Shanghai GP support race so we hope he will make a habit of winning in front of an F1 crowd.!”
