Britain's Dillon Battistini leads the Asian F3 Pacific Series as it heads for its final round at Zhuhai this weekend, and will be hoping to leave China having followed in fellow countryman James Winslow's footsteps by clinching the title.

Battistini, who initially raced for the same JA Motorsport squad that took Winslow to the 2006 Asian F3 crown, leads Finland's Henri Karjalainen, but has only three points in hands, heading into the final triple-header. To make matters even more tense, F3 veteran Moreno Soeprapto is only 35 points behind the leader and, with a total of 64 points available over the weekend, it is a three-way battle for series honours.

Battistini has now moved on to Aran Racing, adding to his task by having to gel with a new line-up, while Karjalainen remains at Team Goddard alongside Soeprapto. Dado Pena rejoins the series by filling the vacant JA Motorsport berth, and will almost certainly have a chance of upsetting the applecart by chasing race wins at Zhuhai.

Karjalainen dominated the first round of the series at the same circuit in January, and is naturally hopeful of showing that sort of form in the finale. Battistini, meanwhile, is hoping his change of team will bring back winning ways, whilst Soeprapto is confident he can take the fight to the leading contenders.

Paul Ip has all but wrapped up the Promotions Class Championship, whilst Robin Tato impressed on his series debut at Sentul and is expected to improve further in Zhuhai.
