After a solid performance in testing at Rockingham last week, Hamad Al Fardan will aim to end his debut season in the National Class of the British F3 International Series in style as the championship draws to a close back at the Northamptonshire circuit this weekend.

The Bahraini driver moved ahead of Michael Meadows into third place in the standings last time out at Croft and holds a 17 point lead over the Raikkonen Robertson Racing man going into the weekend.

With the prospect that Meadows may miss the weekend, Al Fardan could be safe in third place without turning a wheel but he remains focused on getting the job done on the high-speed oval circuit as he seeks to end his season with a first win.

"These last two races are really important for me as they will determine where I finish in the championship,” he said, “but after the test at Rockingham last week I am confident I can do well.

“I was among the fastest in the morning and in the afternoon we were able to improve and I was able to set the pace. Considering that this is my first appearance here at Rockingham and it's a very difficult track to master I am really pleased."
