Howson graduates to F3 in Asia.

Matt Howson amongst several drivers to commit to forthcomign Asian Formula 3 season.

The 2007/08 Asian Formula 3 Championship is beginning to take shape after a number of teams announced their drivers for the forthcoming winter series.

The first time the championship has been held in the Asian summer period, a handful of new teams and promising drivers have signed up after the announcement that the winner will get a test in a Force India F1 car.

Leading the newcomers is former Formula BMW UK front runner Matt Howson, who joins Formula Renault China racer Jim Kato in competing for the newly formed PTRS Team. A third driver will also be announced before the season opener at Sepang.

Former Formula BMW Asia racer and British Formula 3 National front runner Hamad Al Fardan will also be on the grid, competing for Team GFH. Based in Al Fardan's home Bahrain nation, the team is also newly formed for the championship and are expected to announce a second known driver soon.

Finally, Team Goddard will run a third car for Brazilian karting star and South American F3 racer Rafael Suzuki, in addition for Henri Karjalainen and Moreno Soeprapto.
