Just as he has done all weekend, Oliver Jarvis dominated the Macau Grand Prix to add his name to a prestigious list of winners for the legendary Formula 3 race.
The Brit, who has been racing in the Japanese Formula 3 Championship this year, was even more imperious during the final driving his Reckless Tom's Toyota Dallara than he had been in the qualifying race, pulling away from pole position and leading every lap until the chequered flag.
Indeed, it was a hugely successful race for Japanese F3 competitors, with Kodai Tsukakoshi and Kazuya Oshima making it a 1-2-3 result for the championship, while Jarvis also becomes the first driver hailing from the Asian series to win in Macau since Darren Manning in 1999.
Having eased to victory in the qualifying race, albeit after losing the lead at the start, Jarvis had no such problems at the second time of asking, getting a strong getaway to ease out a comfortable lead over his rivals by the time they had made their way around the first lap.
Fellow front row sitter Marko Asmer attempted to get the jump on Jarvis early on, but only succeeded in dropping to fourth instead, behind Oshima and the fast starting Sam Bird. Asmer, however, would be back past Bird by the second lap.
While Jarvis' team-mate Oshima attempted to beat the gap down over the first few laps, he could not match the Brit's speed around the walled circuit and gradually slipped a handful of seconds behind.
However, all that became null and void when the safety car was called out to clear the wreckage of Franck Mailleux's Manor Motorsport machine, which crashed heavily on lap eight.
Japanese F3 Champion Oshima scuppered his chances on the restart though, with Jarvis timing it perfectly to put a good bit of air between the two cars immediately.
