Rookie heads National Class at Snetterton.

F3 rookie Andy Meyrick was a consistent front runner and topped the national class timesheets once again at the second official test of the British F3 International Series season.

Taking part in two days of testing at the Snetterton circuit in Norfolk, Meyrick continued to impress his new team to finish as the top national driver in every official test session of the season so far.

Taking to the track for the first session of the test, Meyrick was the quickest driver overall before being robbed of the top spot by his Carlin team-mate Brendon Hartley in the new Dallara championship class car. The Manchester student went on to better his time in the afternoon and finished the day as the top national driver and seventh quickest overall.

As conditions stayed dry and bright for the second day of testing, Meyrick tried a number of set up changes, setting his fastest time of the test in the afternoon session to top the national class.

“We've had a good couple of days at Snetterton, considering I was suffering from the flu on the first day of testing, I'm pleased that we've been able to stay consistently quick,” he said. “Over the course of the test we only used two sets of tyres, so I think it's a good sign that we are able to get good times out of old rubber.

“The team have done a great job to give me a car that was perfect over both days. I'm really working well with my engineer Richard Owen, which is very important as we start the season. He made a number of small changes which just seemed to make the car go quicker and I really trust his opinion. I'm also learning a lot from him, for example how to adapt to set-up changes. We need to make sure that we carry on with this pattern of improvement at the next test at Silverstone
