The entry list for the 2008 British F3 International Series has been revealed at
Silverstone with a grid of 27 cars set to contest the season ahead.
For 2008, the headline class has been renamed as the International Class and will feature 19 cars, with the majority of teams electing to run multi-car entries.
The majority of drivers were already known, but have now been confirmed with the release of the entry, with defending champions Hitech Racing being the only team with a seat still to fill alongside youngster Max Chilton and Walter Grubmuller. Rodolfo Gonzalez and Jonathan Kennard are amongst those in the running for the drive.
Despite having a rookie line-up, Carlin are expected to be strong with Brendon Hartley, Jaime Alguersauri, Oliver Turvey and Sam Abay having all shown impressive pace during pre-season testing while Double R should also challenge with Henry Arundel, John Martin, Ali Jackson and Atte Mustonen forming a strong driver line-up.
Fortec will run three cars for Seb Hohenthal, Marcus Ericcson and Phil Major, while Ultimate Motorsport expands its team to three cars with Ricardo Teixeira joining the returning Esteban Guerrieri and Michael Devaney. T-Sport, with National Class champion Sergio Perez, and the new JTR Marshall Westland team complete the International Class.
In the National Class, Fluid Motorsport will run two cars for Jay Bridger and BRDC Young Driver of the Year Stefan Wilson, with Carlin and T-Sport also fielding multiple entries. Newcomers CF Racing and Nexa Racing.
