Will Bratt made a fine impression on his Formula 3 test debut after positing the third quickest time in testing at Valencia.
Bratt is stepping up this year into the FIAT Spanish Formula 3 Championship with EmiliodeVillota.com Motorsport after three seasons in Formula Renault UK with the Apotex Scorpio Motorsport squad.
His first test saw him lap within seven tenths of a second of the top of the times and considering it was his first ever experience of a Dallara F3 car, Dunlop tyres and the famous Valencia track, he ended the test rightfully pleased with his progress.
“It's been a good day and I thoroughly enjoyed my first ever run in a Formula 3 car,” he said. “We ended up third overall, about seven tenths of a second off the outright pace, so I'm quite pleased with that.
“Everything has been new to me, the car, the tyres, the team and the circuit, so I think we've done a good job with so much to learn and take onboard. We began the day fairly steadily and then started to build up speed as the day progressed.
“I'm happy with how things have gone today and looking forward to making bigger gains tomorrow.”
