Will Bratt continued his solid pre-season testing pace ahead of the Spanish F3 season during the most recent test at Albacete late last week.
During the opening day of the test, Bratt produced the fourth fastest lap, just four-tenths of a second shy of the outright pace. An assured run on his debut at the Albacete track, the 19-year-old then went into the second day keen to try and move up the timesheets.
Unfortunately for the EmiliodeVillota.com Motorsport man, a problem with the fuel pump on his FIAT-powered Dallara F3 car meant he had to sit out the final few hours, although he still managed to end the day inside the top five, only three-tenths of a second away from the top spot.
I'm pretty pleased with how the last couple of days have gone and without the fuel pump problem I think we'd have definitely been a couple of tenths of a second faster and possibly the quickest car out there, he said. It's a shame we lost quite a bit of track time during the last stint on the second day but we made good progress and overall I think we can be happy with how things are going.
I'm certainly enjoying the experience and Emilio and his guys have been doing a great job. I'm hoping we'll be back on track for more testing in another ten days or so.
