Carlin's Jaime Alguersuari continued where he left off at Oulton Park by leading the way during the latest British F3 International Series test session at Croft.

The Spaniard, who secured victory in the second race of the season opener having early taken a double pole position, posted the second quickest time on the opening morning of the test before going one better in the afternoon to hit the top of the times. He then improved his time on day two to end the test on top.

Team-mate Oliver Turvey was second quickest on day one before changing track conditions saw him slip back on day two, while Brendon Hartley and Sam Abay both ran strongly in the other International Class cars.

Andy Meyrick once again posted the quickest National Class time on day one, while he spent day two working alongside team-mate Kristjan Einar on set-up for the race meeting back at the circuit later this month.

“Jaime and Brendon did an incredible job to learn the circuit so quickly,” team boss Trevor Carlin said. “After the first session it was as though they had as much experience at the circuit as all the other drivers; it was quite remarkable. Oliver also had a strong test to demonstrate the kind of pace that won him the race at Oulton Park. It's good to see Sam returning to form and consistently running in the top ten.

“Track conditions fluctuated massively on Thursday, and I think some of the drivers were a little unlucky not complete a new tyre run when the track was at its optimum level. All the drivers were very impressive and I think we're in good shape for the next race.”
